If this is Annapolis Maryland, it isn't even the 21st there yet so no, it's not happening unless the Mayans' clocks were fast.

I love the White Stripes, rock on with that at least.

Looks like a transformer blowing to me.

It does make for a pretty light show though.

I don't know? Because it certainly does not appear to be fake.. as a couple of other members have said, looks like a transformer blew to me.

They never mention "Could it be lightning?" so yes, it is probably a fear hoax.

Can't trace the Twitter feed, but did trace the Youtube channel and it seems to lead back to a person who posts normal, everyday type stuff.

The trending thought seems to be power substation arcing.

well it does look like what we see here in Florida when a transformer is blowing up during a hurricane. Isn't there a massive winter storm in the area??

It's thundering and lightening here in Florida with torrential downpours.

Could be true, or just could be typical Florida.

Yup, substation.
2nd.

With the storm that's been moving through I'm not surprised.

Even all the way down here in SC, the winds are roaring around, so I would not be surprised it it was a major substation that blew on them.
