EU Survivor - Reality society

In reading the thread R.I.P. Britania something occured to me and I would like to get a discussion going on this topic. With the cojoining of multiple nations and cultures under the flag of the EU a number of questions come to mind.

1) Will the EU become the new melting pot?

2) Will there eventually be one dominant cultural ethos?

3) Will there be one dominant language?

2. there will be mixing if they last, but i'm not sure they will all meld.
3. probably english
