Let's Use This Opportunity!

As we are all aware tomorrow is 12/21/2012 (it is already that date in some parts of the world). The world is not going to end. It is not going to be consumed by a tsunami, stop turning or explode. We are not going to "ascend" or turn into "spirit beings". The aliens are not going to land and offer us solutions to all of this world's problems. The dead are not going to rise and start eating us. As much as some people hope that one of these things happen it is only that- a hope.

What 12/21/2012 IS is just the Winter Solstice as it occurs every year. For those of us that don't celebrate the Solstice I say why let an opportunity to celebrate go to waste? Let us make 12/21 a special day just for letting the people in our lives know that we love them every day of the year. Call or invite over those loved one's you don't see or speak to as often as you like and remind them that you care, and that they are in your thoughts. Give those close around a big hug just because you can. Share your love with everyone you can and laugh with them. And let's do it every year- we can start a new tradition! Much better idea than living in a fantasy!

Glad you changed that picture... I agree Lt16cat. Who needs a specific day to tell those around you that you love them.
