I am constantly killing people in video games, you don't see me snapping to go kill people in real life. Hell I constantly play postal, which is probably the most violant game next to grand theft auto and saints row. Yet you don't see me getting a gun and killing people outside of the gaming world.

Lower your contact with outside world and keep on playing more.

You will feel it.

My contact with the outside world is very very limited. Sure I particpate on this forum and have maybe 1 or 2 acquiescence but that's it, I am what you would call a loner, never leave my house cept to get food or try to win some money at the casinos, but thats it.

ATS is a reflection of outside world . Internet is a mirror ,too.

Don't cheat , don't look at the mirrors.

If the internet was a reflection of the outside world then I would be able to walk up to people and say hi like I do here but I can't, people in the outside world scare the crap out of me and i can't talk to them at all.

Look on the bright side, people will eventually stop talking, and start texting strangers and you'll be ahead of the game. Hmmm.

Crap. Pure crap. I'm a big gamer. I have friends that are big gamers. We're not mass murders. I happen to LOVE the Modern Warfare series, having beaten all three games. If you're brainwashed into committing mass murder from video games, you've got bigger problems than being addicted to video games.

Actually now you have changed your post it makes more sense to me.
I won't argue that for SOME addictive personalities gaming can have a very negative effect on their lives.....but I put that down to the addictive personality rather than video games.
There have been times in my gaming past when it as infringed in my real life. Lack of sleep and less tolerance and patience in my workplace after all nighters...got me in a couple of scrapes with my bosses....these day's I have four small children who cause me the same effect! lol

I didn't mean ATS or other places are perfect mirrors of outside world , they may have filters , diversity and other properties.

Replace 'gaming addicts' with 'able to gain access to firearms with ease'

I personally play a lot of CoD, need for speed, and GTA. I have never felt the need to shoot anyone, steal a car, hire a prostitute to gain health, then kill her to get my money back.

Maybe the reason they were 'gaming addicts' is that they were socially reclusive and didn't have m/any friends.

Did Hitler do what he did because he played to much Risk? Of course not, but you get my point.

Then we have to start identifying those mental barriers and the causes for them by which I mean why are they there in the first place. Which comes down to the grand play where we all pretend we have psychic powers and we can just say things which have some effect on the others' mind.

So what we need are schools which teach kids all about these barriers and the causes why we have them. If there are things out there which would remove these barriers kids will be able to identify this as it happens and neutralize whatever it is being said.

Kids already do this to eachother, testing the others' selfconfidence to see which child has the best system. Only currently central control is lacking mainly because of money. By which I mean the richer families probably have the best mental barriers and best offensive techniques to bring down anothers' barrier to make them do the things they want.

They have worked on this for centuries, passing their book of the psyche down each generation, the value of those books should be documented so everyone would know. Sooner or later ofcourse every family will have such a book and all defenses and offenses would be known which is why it's unlikely to happen as it would mean the current family who has the best book loses their place of power.

But other than that, videogames are not the cause, lots of people playing them so why are there not more shootings.
