Tired of all the gun talk on ATS?

Weary of all the 2nd Amendment endless battles?

I present to you the guy Obama just put in charge of the "gun grab" -

From the '08 campaign trail-

I guarantee ya, Barack Obama ain't takin' my shotguns. So, don't buy the malarkey. Don't buy that malarkey. They're going to start peddling that to you. I've got two, if he tries to fool with my Beretta he's got a problem.

Ol' Uncle Joe, you gotta love 'em

Don't forget they put Biden in control of reducing spending....

Well it's better to put Biden in charge of guns than Dick Cheney.

Yeah then I really would start to get worried

Biden can't determine his rear from a hole in the ground.

I think everybody's guns are safe, this is all just an act to try to appease, BO knows better.

Who cares what they SAY? It's what they DO that matters. And frequently what they do is the opposite of what they say. And do you think during a campaign he's going to say "we're coming for your guns!" ? Of course not, no chance you would get elected. I'm not saying they're going to ban guns, it's almost impossible, but they're going to go as far as they can in banning certain guns and making it extremely difficult to obtain the rest.

Some will see this as Obama kicking the issue to the curb whiel making moves at the same time.

I think you're over reacting, at worst (or best), they'll reinstate the assault weapons ban, grandfather existings in, and force everyone to buy more clips, since theirs now only hold 10...

Don't buy that malarkey!

I said this in another post, I think bears saying again:

Tyranny can come at you in many forms, and one of most widely used forms is by creating misconstrued and vague laws that impair your ability to defend our way of life as intended by the founders of this country.

If you don’t think it can happen, you need to ask a few people from New Orleans …

I'm not saying it couldn't happen.

Just pointing out the irony of who would be in charge of it....Uncle Joe.

Thank you for posting that video, as I had never seen it before.
It reminds me of the quote from Animal Farm, you know the one:

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

It also remind me of all the celebrities calling for stricter gun laws, and the ridding of them altogether. The same celebrities that do not have to worry about their own safety

They don't have to worry about going hungry either.

I mean shotguns?! Even semi-automatic shotguns come plugged to only hold 3 rounds anyway.

Hell even Brits can have a semi shotgun!

Dunno, wouldn't you say the supremacy clause and the general welfare clause and the proper and necessary clause are somewhat vague, too? Those implied rights have certainly helped congress in something like 20 thousand previous instances to overcome other definitive statements like "the right of the people shall not be infringed".
