The U.S. Midwest is getting hit by Winter Storm "DRACO" over the next few days. Some of you might notice the name of this storm...and the winter solstice being on Friday the 21st.
Winter Storm Draco Tracking

Draco's wrath includes **BLIZZARD WARNINGS**
and as you can see in this image, up to 18" of snow possible AND up to 50mph. winds expected;

Draco: The first legislator of Athens in Ancient Greece.
(further weather.com storm name definitions at link) ~ Winter Storm Names 2012-2013

Here's the list of Winter Storm names picked for the 2012 into 2013 season (notice any pattern in the names?):
The names are all derived from mythology, fantasy and science fiction characters...

I'm in the 18" of snow area. I may need one of you to come dig me & my family out of our Doomsday shelter if the world is still spinning on Saturday lol just kidding!

I hope everyone has winterized their cars for the season. Don't forget to check in on the elderly family members & friends and help them shovel their driveways!

Stay safe and Merry Christmas!

Naming winter storms is so stupid.......

Weather channel just wants to induce more fear....

It's "odd" how there are thunderstorms on the other side of the blizzard. Look at all the lightning..

I've never seen a winter storm named before.
Is this a new thing?
Maybe I haven't been paying attention

yea the weather channel needed to get more sponsors & since tornado season & hurricane season are over , they need to put a name to the hysteria of the coming MONSTER SNOW STORMs so they name them to give you round the clock coverage & the sponsors love that!!

I remember the passed few winter seasons the term "Thunder Snow" started being used a lot.

They started naming storms because they have finally begun to master their craft of weather construction.
With "all" major storms now under control, they can decide when to crank certain ones up or not.

Hurricane Sandy tested their abilities to take a moderate hurricane and guide it so perfectly so that even though it was officially downgraded to a tropical storm, it still caused serious destruction.

So, we should look out. With todays weather modification, military black op technology, ANY storm could become the "biggest storm in the world" in a matter of hours

Good point. I'm sure the "weather modifiers" still have some testing & tweaking to do to their methods. That makes me think the U.S. could definitely get heavier-than-usual snow storms this season. I don't know how we could tell between a natural occurrence and a manufactured occurrence, though? It DOES snow a lot in winter!

That has to be Q. There's already an Orko for O.
Q used to be a guy from Star Trek, an all knowing god like alien.
I don't know if there's any other Qs...

Hmmm....
Okay, so Draco is on the way...
Did I fall asleep like Rip Van Winkel & miss something?
Where were Athena, Brutus & Caesar???

And 'Q', REALLY???
Nobody could think of a Q name?
What about Quincy, Quentin, Queenie....
Doesn't fit their theme I guess!!!

I suppose it will make it easier to reference more upcoming 'storms of the century'!
Much more specific than saying 'the blizzard of '93'.
Especially if they are 'planning' more than one a season!!!

I'll try to get to your shelter with my 80 inch snowblower and blow fifteen feet of snow on top the entrance. Then we'll break off the antenna and put a frequency scrambler on it, allowing only one frequency with a recorded dire warning to be heard. See you in three months when the snow finally melts.
When you get out you can teach us what you have learned.

I hereby predict Q to be the biggest storm ever in terms of cost and size.
I'm thinking sometime in the late summer of 2013

um.... yeah... wait, wait
I'm seeing something now, wait, ...yeah
What I meant to say was late winter, yes. I can see the vision clearly now!

Winter Storm Q, March 11, 2013
After forming in the southern, south east corner of Alaska, Winter Storm Q gathered steam and turned into a "Franken Storm" over North Dakota today. Q is expected to collide with a low early tropical push from the caribbean, pushing its low pressure system up the Mississippi and colliding and fueling Q's already overly pumped inner core.

Q is expected to "wipe out" most of the East Coast as it gathers fuel on it's way through the Tennessee Valley.

Stay tuned to FOX Armageddon 2013 Update for more information.
