Sandy Hook Teacher Gave Her Life by Shielding Kids- Victoria Soto

This is really a gripping story of a 27 year old female teacher that gave her life to protect her students, her name was Victoria Soto.

There is a petition drive currently being proposed to the White House to award Victoria Soto the highest medal of honor for civilians "The Medal of Freedom "

I don't often tear-up, but this story did it for sure.

Nice gesture, and I am in no way surprised if it is true.
It is just too bad her idea did not work.
It takes a special type to be a teacher, especially for little ones.
This is just one reason I believe in arming teachers, even the biggest of bears in the wild know not to try to cross MamaBear.

The outcome may have been a lot different if she had a way to protect herself.

Most teachers are not prepared for violence, or how to handle themselves in a situation like this. She did the best she could and she lost her life.

I am humbled by her courage.
