Thought I might as well go through the introduction process, so here goes...

I found this forum by chance, but it looks like one that will keep me entertained for a while, so it's already bookmarked on the toolbar.

I'm 36, female, and am generally a fairly happy person.

I much prefer the company of animals to humans, and a good book instead of a good film.

I'm extremely selfish, I will always come first in my life, but at the same time always kind. Not pleasant, never pleasant for no reason, but kind... kind is not to be comfused with someone who appears "nice".

I belive in the truth, and cannot stand it if someone lies to me... whether that being the OH or the media!

I like to make things by hand, and will give just about anything a try, with various results. Hahahahaha. I'm sure all the neighbors shudder when they look at my "gorgeous" bird house in the garden. Tonight however, it's candle making time - and currently the house smells lovely due to the jasmine scent added.

I've lived in a few countries, and if I was filthy-rich I would spend my days travelling. And I don't mean lounging on a beach somewhere, I mean wandering country sides, looking at amazing architecture, eating in small local establishments and star gazing at night. I'd like to see the world on the road less travelled, and after having satisfied the urge to see the world, my dream would be to settle somewhere in the countryside, with no neighbors, but plenty of pets, and off the grid.

*waves good-bye*

Hi and welcome to ATS!

Please excuse me if this is out of line, but after seeing your username I have to ask:

Are you a self diagnosed aspie?

Nope. Although suspected it (it would have, and did, make so much sense) before.

...

So lemme get this straight, you're extremely selfish, and demand the truth.

Sounds like another wannabe dictator who is using this label of "Asperger's" as a cover.

Definitely not using my lack of funds as an excuse to enjoy nature - using it as an excuse not to enjoy nature all over the world. Hahahaha.

Always been an outdoorsy type, sadly not much of it happening now in winter... don't mind the weather and cold (I do have clothes and wellies), but it gets dark so early. Come spring however it will be back to a few hours a day either in the fields, the forest or along the coastline.

Nature always has a great pull on me, even now when I've "lost my way"... or maybe I never had "the way" in the first place. But nature was my "church"... the beauty of nature used to be so amazing to me, that I always felt close to "God" (feel free to replace with "universe", "mother nature", "maker", etc, depending on what you believe in). Sadly I don't get that feeling anymore, but I can still see the beauty.

Cheers for all the welcomes!
