Nazis feeling you up at the airport violating your Constitutional rights under the Fourth Amendment.

The Patriot Act and its inherent violations of the Constitution.

National health care.

We already know the government and Big Business are one and the same. The two can barely contain their glee. Research the Federal Reserve if you doubt this.

What you are describing is just authoritarian capitalism or an oligarchical plutocracy. We don't fully have a nationalized healthcare system yet sadly, and even if we did; that is the only point that would resemble socialism, and that, in itself, would be a very minor aspect.

Allow me to provide the Merriam-Webster definition of Socialism.

1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

I must tell you that I am glad you are not my CPA but then you said you were an accountant...a bookkeeper and obviously know nothing about how the super wealthy invest and more their money offshore to say nothing of Tax Exempt Foundations and Tax Havens. I am not going to try to educate you but don't fool yourself, you are a Socialist in denial about being a Communist. I will also promise you, that not two cents of what I have earned will go to supporting any of you.

Well he's a social democrat, but he also does quite a bit against the socialist ideology. As far as the goals of socialists go I would be completely fine with that. I AM a communist.

Yeah, I saw how compassionate the Soviets were. I saw them starve their people, roust them out of their beds in the middle of the night. People disappeared constantly and were never seen again. The KGB was vicious.

This a typical response. I would like to point out, though, that from the moment Stalin took power the soviet union ceased to be a communist nation and was in fact an authoritarian state capitalist nation. An oligarchy if you will.

My wife is from Belarus,from a well educated and as she says, a Classic Family. She says the lack of goods, of basic things people need was one of the worst things about living under Soviet Rule but what was worse, was the hopelessness, the being trapped with no escape. Her escape was me when I brought her here and now even she wants us to leave because America has all the signs and it will get worse and worse. She worries I will wait too long..maybe I should listen.

I have read Nineteen-eighty four several times. It is a masterpiece of dystopian fiction. The society it speaks of comes from a capitalist oligarchy though. It does not speak of communism. Orwell was indeed a socialist himself, as were many of the worlds greatest intellectuals. From your response I would guess if you had your way you would just kill anyone who disagrees with you. That is Fascism. YOU are the enemy of true freedom.
