Our Early history's are much the same, That is a fact, Yes Australia was set up as a penal colony, But do you not think the mass slaughter of your natives are murderers tantamount to criminal actions..? But that changed early as well and there were mistakes made just like in the US. We have acknowledged the mistakes and now acknowledge the people we hurt and we are all moving forward together, Still with a few problems. but we will work it out.

Keep your guns but how about a few of you gun guys start your own organization for people to register at provide training for owners and even a psych test just to make sure, and handle it all with in an organization you guys can trust. That is a step in the right direction.

Completely agree with you, OP!

I'm Australian and I was just thinking about how our gun-related crime levels are WAY down in comparison to America when I stumbled across this.

Oh, and... America? Freedom? Did I read that correctly?

An average of 24 Americans are killed by guns per DAY,
As opposed to 64 Australians on average killed by guns per YEAR.
