I used to run pubs and the last 4 I ran were real ale houses (last one was CAMRA pub of the year 2 years running in my area
)so my question for you all is what is your fave beer?
Mine it is called Roosters Yankee, brewed with American cascade hops, grown in the Yakima Valley in Washington State, USA.
A wonderful light beer (in colour) with an ABV of 4.3%.
www.roosters.co.uk...

My next fave beer is Marbles Ginger brewed in my home city of Manchester and wow this one really hits the spot if you like Ginger
and their Chocolate Marble is a great winter beer.

www.marblebeers.com...

So all whats your fave beer.

Oh and a song to get you in the mood.

oh and a shout out to the Halifax Steam Brewing company because I know the owner and he brews a great pint
(Oh and his brewery tap is ace)
www.halifax-steam.co.uk...

Also a shout out to these guys in the states
www.anchorbrewing.com...
Only had bottles but one day I will go there and show you Americans how us Brits drink
.

I may just open one cheers all

Can't go wrong with a nice cold Carling - the classic choice, I know.

Great tasting beer and perfect after a long day.

I would have to say on one end of the spectrum, I really enjoy Guiness, then for a killer buzz, I enjoy taking down a few Fosters....

I prefer Alexander Keiths, with Labatt's Blue a close second....
Although I don't drink Canadian, this was too good not to post.

Guiness is alright. It wouldn't be my first choice but I could probably sit down and enjoy it if It was on offer.

Fosters is my number 2 choice behind Carling - although It's close.

Sierra Nevada's Winterfest is rather festive this time of year.

Red Hawk as that special "kick" when you need it.

Mmmmm beer.
From my time living in the UK I developed a taste for real ale and cannot stand the generic tripe that is foisted upon us by the conglomerate brewers, a traditional craft beer on a warm summers evening is pure heaven.

I don't have much money but I do treat myself to a nice bottle of craft beer or two each week and have tried literally hundreds some good some great but all with their own distinctive character.

My most recent favorites have been
Wells' 'Waggle Dance' a pale ale brewed with honey, sweet and delicious and Young's Double chocolate stout (self explanatory)

Thats easy mate - Boags premium.

In fact all beer is good, except XXXX (Queensland stuff). They had to put four X's on the can because its against the law to put the word that it actually tastes like - when a kiwi say "sheet", that's what the word sounds like.

Darn it forgot about waggledance
a great great beer

Thats another great thing about beer you forget the good ones

Plus my last pub while I was there had around 25 different beers on every week, so thats a lot of beer I had to taste...you know for purely educational reasons
