What does it take to get a thread put on the new topics page around here?

I started a thread today that has received more flags and replies than most of the threads on the new topics page, yet my thread is getting buried. Not only that, I posted it in the grey area were it belonged and it got moved to the general conspiracies forum, and its not even a conspiracy!

In the past, I've had a few threads that never showed on the new topics page. It happens occasionally. Don't sweat it. At least yours got some attention. I'm one of those read it.

Good thing you posted this in the Rant forum, I have a hard time choosing which forum to post in...

It takes around 6-7 hours to go to the new topics page, I had wondered about this in the past with certain threads that had 60 flags in under 3 hours not being there, it's just how the site works, and all complaints for nothing as I see your thread just appeared, and pushed out a thread I was about to read haha

It's third on Newst Flags and third on active new topics. You want more????? New Topics itself rotates the newest ten. You want that, too????

This thread however, probably wont make it to the top.

Unless we start talking about some really top secret stuff

If it's any comfort, a lot of people base themselves on the "Recent Posts" page instead.
You can see a new thread on there immediately.

Well...I found your random rant on the new topic fire hose. Seems like a silly thing to complain about to me though.
