I don't believe the Moon has ANYTHING to do with gravity. Zip. Nada. Zilch. It has nothing to do with our tides. That's fairy tale. If that was so then the Moon would have to be exposed to all the oceans at the same time, every second.

High tides (on the side the moon is on)

and low tides (the opposite side of the planet from the moon.)

We experience high/low tides 4 times a day. So I gotta look into what you are saying. I have to admit, it's interesting.

I am talking about: science saying that the Moon is solely responsible for gravity. That's what I am saying.

ANY source for that? That's what I'm saying.

You ummm, want to elaborate and provide evidence?

No, the moon is a moon. I've heard stories about things that are up there from reputable sources, but it is not a mothership, it is a celestial body.

end the thread ? noo
you cant close it lol

well what i know about the moon
it rotate around earth but it doesnt rotate on itself
i know its not a planet but a moon satelite
do you know if other planets that have moon
does their moon rotate on themself around their planet ?

you do know that our solar system spiral around our milky way galaxy
the moon should also rotate on itself in other words
it is just weird that it is always showing the same side over and over

dont you think ?

There are two high and two low tides a day --each separated by approx.12 hours.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but out of all the planets that have moons, 166 of moons, we're the only planet that has only one. That's enough for me to questions, why!

Well why don't they all have the same number of Moons using your WARPED logic

What? What does an equal amount have to do with it? My point is: multiples verses a solo moon.

Same with our Sun. Most solar systems have binary stars.
Planet Earth seems to be more the exception than the rule in comparison to the limited solar bodies we have to work with.

So couple all of what we know (or I think I know) with ancient alien theories, there are more reasons to believe we are not alone (on our own planet and moon) than we are.

Again, my opinion. And 90% of that is from being an experiencer.

When you keep talking about the moon not 'rotating on itself"...what do you mean by that?

The moon Does rotate, and it also orbits the Earth. The speed the moon "rotates on itself" is at nearly exactly the rate needed to show "one side" towards the Earth.

I seem to miss your confusion on this.

Whether it's true or not i think it's really cool. It would answer a lot of unanswered questions and mysteries if it were true. Cool post OP.

Benny boy, I was withcha until the "moon doesn't rotate' line. It DOES rotate.
Seems I get into this heated discussions about 4 times a year.
But let me get this out of my system.
It does it does it does it does it does it does!

Much better

We just don't see it because when its zigging, we're zagging. Another words, we miss it. But it DOES rotate.
Please, these shootings are stressing me out enough. I don't want the Moon-rotating banter to too.

As far as the other moons in our system, I do believe they all rotate. Including funky Phobos (which I think isn't real either) But..I'm only guessing about the other Moons rotating. Maybe someone with knowledge on this subject can apprise us?

It seems the majority rather hang on to what they were told and have unanswered questions than to have the questions answered and head into the unknown.

If we insert 'alien intervention' into almost all the mysteries in the world and beyond (The Moon and Asteroid belt among the 'beyond') we might start possessing more innate wisdom than superficial knowledge. Ya know?

Yeah but I still think the moon affects the tides on Earth.

So I guess 2 for 3 isn't bad.

sorry if i explain myself not clearly
english is not my first language

well im just wondering about the dark side of the moon
we always see the same side
like the picture someone have posted on page 1
the same side of the moon rotate around earth
never showing his other side
it rotate always in the same position
does all other planets that have satelite act the same way has our moon ?

I knew our run of accordance wouldn't last that long.

We obviously went to different schools. Plus I have to confess, when it came to science and history, I listened with one ear. Somehow I knew they were either guessing, lying or coddling their requirement to teach. I don't think half my teachers believed what they were saying.
I loved math and music. Funny, the only two subjects that never cause an argument and is accepted and recognized world wide. Maybe even Universally.

So you think science says the moon is SOLELY the source of gravity?

I admit I'm confused.

Here Ben, picture this:

You are dancing with a lovely lady. Then you both let go and twirl. Now, can you say that her back never faced you OR.............is it you just didn't see it?

It's the same thing with the Moon. While it's back is towards us, Our back is towards her.
I call that very very convenient especially if the back side is occupied which I, 100% believe.

Until now! Who is your favorite band?

Seriously though, about the Moon being the sole source of our Gravity?

No.
The Moon's "back" is never toward us.
