And, when the times get wicked with pain, famine, diseases, wars, and children die.
He will come like a thief in the night,
leaving those to rot in their own filth and the righteous set free from the evil grasp.
Between Saints and Sinners...good and evil...everyone has to pay the emotional price,
as watching...hearing...seeing children die........is a heart ache no one should take........

Paul said Jesus was coming back during his lifetime. Didn't happen. 2,000 years later we're still waiting.

Hope the guy doesn't turn up in the USA, cos if he comes like a thief in the night someone will shoot him

OP didn't you make the same thread last week?
Repeating it doesn't make it true.

Oh and I quote..

leaving those to rot in their own filth and the righteous set free from the evil grasp, let me guess you are one of the righteous...

Nice veiled threat too.

Have there ever been times when this WASN'T happening?

He has already returned.
Sadly he got ejected from a darts match in Britain before he defeated evil.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The world has always been full of evil, pain, famine, cruelty and children have always died and in much greater numbers in the past. Thousands of children die each day due to war and hunger, often at the hands of 'godly' men.

Evil can only be eroded by small kindnesses performed by ordinary people in their daily lives, done in the name of humanity and not for sky fairy brownie points out of self preservation of a percieved soul.

Waiting for some miraculous saviour to come and do it all at a stroke is just absolving yourself of responsibility and exercising your judgemental superiority complex. People who declare and hope for such a supernatural solution I have usually found to harbour a hidden personal joy at the prospect of suffering and vengeance upon those they judge to be undeserving of salvation. A celestial schadenfreude if you will.

Stop waiting for your carpenter to magically return and make a difference yourself. Anyway a bearded Middle-Eastern prophet coming back to Earth to destroy all those he deems undeserving may not be all you hope for!

The second part of your title has sound Biblical roots.
The first part doesn't.
You don't put forward any reason for supposing that the time is "upon us".
And please, please, let it not be because you've jumped on the foolish "2012" band-wagon.

With baptism, we must be born again. Baptism is our immersion in the water. Keep this in mind as you read these verses. Remember, Isaiah is an accounting of what will take place during the Day of the Lord (next 1000 years).

Isaiah 26

16 Lord, they came to you in their distress;
when you disciplined them,
they could barely whisper a prayer.
17 As a pregnant woman about to give birth
writhes and cries out in her pain,
so were we in your presence, Lord.
18 We were with child, we writhed in labor,
but we gave birth to wind.
We have not brought salvation to the earth,
and the people of the world have not come to life.

19 But your dead will live, Lord;
their bodies will rise—
let those who dwell in the dust
wake up and shout for joy—
your dew is like the dew of the morning;
the earth will give birth to her dead.
20 Go, my people, enter your rooms
and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.
21 See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling
to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
The earth will disclose the blood shed on it;
the earth will conceal its slain no longer.

Consider this:

your dew is like the dew of the morning;

Dew are the droplets of water (Baptism) that will evaporate and distill when the sun rises.

Of that day and hour no man knoweth, no, not even the angels of Heaven, therefore my brother, watch and pray, stay steadfast in Love and live a life of repentance and grace, practice almsgiving and love for humanity, spread the Good News and remain confident in your faith delivered to you by the Holy Apostles and Prophets of the LORD Almighty,

God bless,

Amen

Can you quote the passage where Paul says this?

You must have your own very unique bible, either that or you simply live in ignorance or rely on the wrong kind of people for your facts.
