On March 5, 2012, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder gave a speech at the Northwestern University Law School about the legality of using lethal force against potential “terrorists.” Holder defended the use of drones and air strikes to kill and assassinate anyone who poses an “imminent threat” to US interests. Furthermore, he stated that even American citizens abroad can be targeted in such a fashion without any due process or legal oversight, as was the case with Anwar-al-Awlaki.
Such efforts to legalize extrajudicial programs follow a historical pattern of restricting rights. Eager to preserve national security, many past administrations had taken solid—but profoundly unjust and unconstitutional—moves that deliberately restricted constitutional rights and liberties

What is truly wrong is the complacency of the people. If more people cared there would be riots, but instead they are brainwashed by the idiot box and don't make waves. This leaves a simple cleanup for the government cor any individuals who want to stand up to it. Label them crazy. If they repeat it long enough then people believe it. This is a very real problem with our society. It allows the government to steal our rights and the banks to steal our money and wealth. Then when it is too late we won't be able to take anything back.

Absolutely, the amount of complacency in this country is mind-numbing. Look at the responses to this thread. No one cares. People are more concerned with 12/21/2012 and the Mayan calender than what's actually happening right in front of them. We're talking about LIMITATIONS and RESTRICTIONS on our civil rights and liberties! Each time the government takes something away from us it makes it easier for them to take more and more. That's what people fail to see. That's going to be our un-doing.
