UFO over downtown Minneapolis??..and nobody is talking about it???

so a facebook poster has stated that a large ufo was hovering over downtown Minneapolis 12/13/12 around 7pm...hung out for an hour.....supposedly stopped radio coms in the area...a friend of the poster also commented that 911 was flooded with calls and they were driving down nicollet mall for about 8 blocks and everybody was looking up...the friend works with the city..but not for the city. the poster also stated that there was a video on line for a bit, shot from the Uof M and that there were posts or articles on line around 2amish (12/14/12) and when they were trying to load the vid..it said 'video has been removed'..... now there is nothing..nada not a peep....so far only 2 people have said the saw the ufo....the poster and the friend.......i know the poster...but that said..im calling shenanigans.....

so i decided to head over to good ol' ATS and see if anybody has any info...cause if it happened..its gunna be on ATS did a search on ATS but nothing..also did a google search and nothing...

No evidence, no proof as I always say. If it was above a huge city like that, it'd be all over the news.

You would think something would pop up on youtube or some building cam footage...

From a Google search you seem to be the only one online that has mentioned anything about it in the last 24 hours. ATS is the ONLY hit that has anything to do with a UFO in Minneapolis in that time frame.

Numerous reports of the letter "V" have been spotted all around Minneapolis in bright red color.....

No wonder no ones talking about it, Minneapolis seems to be a hot bed for UFO sightings, nearly every month.

Maybe they pull in for gas there.

I read that the world was going to end next week on facebook too. Doesnt mean its going to happen now does it? Seriously matey, a city that size they wouldnt be able to contain it, there would be multiple reports everywhere. I'm calling Hoax.

Tell your "friend" to send you the video......You can post it on here. If it is true, he/she will send it to you, if not........

Let's see...... Hmmm.....people in Minneapolis not commenting on a UFO flying over their heads and staying there for a while. Maybe they thought it was a Mall of America promotional balloon, come to think of it, maybe it was. I know a few people from down there. They wouldn't think nothing of a UFO over the city. Not worth posting on Youtube, everyone down there was seeing UFOs so it's no big deal anymore.

as ive talked to some people...i get the same reply.."ya, i heard about that, everbody is talking about it'........but nobody seems to have actualy seen it and is talking about it.......

im assuing it is some type of hoax...'hay i heard that somebody said that they have a friend that saw xwz'.....now 'everbody' is talking about it...

smurfy...yes i noticed that there seem to be alot of ufo siteings around minneapolis...didnt know we were such a popular ufo destination...maybe they stop by on thier way up to canada

I haven't heard anything about this sighting and I'm fairly close to the twin city's..I would think if this was for real it would be all over the news..peace,sugarcookie1

I am north of Minneapolis by about 25 miles or less. I heard nothing on this, and I have lots of friends down there. If there was something there I would have heard about it.

Not saying IT didn't but I am very skeptical...

I talked to the woman who posted the original post on facebook. Her boyfriend who works for the city is the one who saw it. He said it was huge and lots of people were looking at it and filming it. It was apparently shocking enough to make at least one person he saw cry because they were so disturbed by it's size. The strange thing is that the woman I talked to saw a really good video of it taken from the U of M campus the night of the sighting. When she went to look for it the day after she could not find it. This women is a friend of mine and I know she's not lying or mistaken. Just thought I'd add a little more information to the situation.

So she had a video of it and then when she searched for it the video was gone??

Sounds like a typical UFO sighting...

"Oh I have evidence..." "Really? Where is it?" "Oh wait I had evidence."

What I meant by what I said was that she found a good video of the sighting on the internet that night on the same day as the sighting. She then went to look for that same video (on the internet) the next day to show a friend and it was gone. This actually happened and both of us don't know why a video of the event that was up is now gone. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
