Breaking News - Shooting at Newtown, Connecticut elementary school.

The medical examiner said that they were killed by a rifle? I thought they found the "shooter" with two handguns and the only rifle was a .223 in his car. Somebody correct me if I am wrong please.

He was in the woods (walking, chopping wood *has been talked about in here*, being a .) he then heard gunshots and hid till the police turned up or he was involved.

You are not wrong. That info just came out at that conference. It IS strange that the ONLY piece of information that hasnt changed, ie the pistols, is now changed.

I almost dont like the names released. None of us need to know this. I understand that some people want this to help them mourn. so more power to that. But me personally, get a bad taste in my mouth from the media releasing the names. It seemed like a segment they were pushing to get you to watch through the commercial break.

But I'll ask again, does this reassure some CT'ers out there who think this thing was faked?

I'm going to put forward a crazy new idea. What if the man went in with 2 hand guns to have an argument, and a third person came and did the shooting? As in the guy they arrested in camo pants in the forest next to the school did the actual killings, not the dead guy found inside the school. The police haven't yet confirmed the identity of the shooter, so perhaps the guy we think is the murderer is a victim, and someone else did the shooting. Although thats too far fetched...

I'd also like to know if this has been discussed.

I have a 7 year old son.. Dear God people! This brings me to tears. I dont know if I am sending my baby back to school Monday!

the first section of the vid convinces me that he was at least connecting to the families, empathetically, as a parent. that alex j. cut that first section out, doesn't really portray it as accurately as it should be. i think people need to see the whole thing.

Beautiful, very succinct, I whole heartedly agree, like a scripted Hollywood production, not just this one shooting (which COULD, maybe??? have been 'radom' ---though I still have reservations) but a string with the same type MOs, and not just here in the states but as I pointed out several times Canada and Great Britian and Australia, etc. over and over and over, usuallly masked, in the shadows, lights out, smoke bombs, emotionally and mentally ill (alleged) shooters, I really smell a NWO rat, one that would stop at nothing to further humanity into that Brave New (gunless, microchipped, 24/7 surveilled, greatly population reduced, collective) World.

The police released the names, which is what usually happens in tragedies, the names get released. I'm ok with it, as long as the stupid media don't do their usual thing of going and asking the victims families how they feel. Its ridiculous, media should leave the victims families alone.

So the guy first shot the principal in an argument (in the office?) and then decided to go and target the yongest people in the school. Why??? How did he choose that school, that class, and those poor kids? Why specifically the kindergarten, and those 2 particular classes? Did he know the teachers or something?

All the deceased children were six or seven years of age. So why did the President say they were between 5 and 10 years old in his news conference? You'd think he at least would have the correct scoop.....

I find it far more believable that someone with severe mental illness and autism would kill children than a group of masterminds... NWO had nothing to do with this, it wouldn't make sense, whereas someone with severe mental illness, wouldn't make sense, and hence would do something like this.

If you are a cop, I doubt that you are naive regarding this subject, just insincere.

Naivety aside, the Federal Assault Weapons ban would have most likely stopped or prevented the killing of more people in the 2011 Tuscon Shooting and the 2012 Aurora Shooting. Gun control even prevented Adam Lanza from buying a gun and ammunition in Danbury earlier this week.

Do you really think that the assault weapons ban would have prevented the Aurora shooting?
You are a cop. What if the shooter rolled into the theater with a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with #4 Buck in 3" Magnum? What about two Glocks in holsters at his side?

Or, as you have already stated, the black market gun still would have been available.

I can't blame you, not many cops like an armed population.

Some of this dudes favorite books are Nazi propoganda books from the 20's-50's

Included were the workes of Hesse, Hitlers Mein Kampf, Marx, just to name a few.

that's good sleuthing - but one thing that needs to be kept in mind is the number of fake accounts that were made immediately after the shooting.

It was a disgusting education to me, after I followed a few links, to see that there are groups of people on facebook who make a point of idolising these killers, creating profiles for thm, becoming friends with each other, outdoing each other with sick humour. A lot of these people also have these same interests you pointed out.
So, it may be someone who was just part of that scene, and not a real life friend...

Was it a real douchebag with facial hair, who's 'married' to some gorgeous young christian girl (ironically maybe), and is friends with the Aurora shooter and has Adolf hitler as his parent?

Anyway, briefly delving into the world of facebook mass shooting trolls made me feel sick.

I completely understand what you're saying, but both the 2011 Tuscon and 2012 Aurora shooting suspects used legally bought weapons with legally bought extended magazines. You can have your AR-15 but give me one good reason why you should be allowed to put a 100 round drum mag on it?
