Judgmental, aren't you? And what is your flaw? Can it be seen, or do you hide it under your skin or in your mind like the majority? Are you schizophrenic? Neurotic? Do you wear long sleeves to hide your eczema, or are you rotten in your soul?

No one is perfect including you.

Society is punishing the fat in a way it doesn't punish others and IT'S WRONG.

eczema and schizophrenia are not the fault of the person. One controls whether they are fat or not.

Maybe the obvious question is the one no one seems to ask...Why are so many adults and children obese? Percentages are astounding...and they get worse depending on where you are. So what is the reason? Did suddenly all these people develop a gland disease? Those that had a gland disease used to be a very small percentage of the overweight...even when we weren't see such large numbers. Gland disease "used" to make up about 5% of the overweight. If that is the answer...

Now we have 30% obesity in some places...why is that? Are they all suffering from a glandular issue? If so, how did that happen? Is it something they are eating? Is it a toxin in the environment causing it? Why are we not actually asking the right questions and why are we not getting real answers to this "epidemic"...

Is it fear to ask about it? Too much controversy? Maybe someone doesn't want to answer that question for real "conspiracy" reasons. maybe there is a reason other than bad food choices and lack of exercise...

I'm not gonna lie, fat people depress me. Partially because I used to a bit overweight but mostly because obesity is corporate created problem designed to enslave the public. It's a shame that one-third of America is obese.

I find a few things interesting about the obesity issue. Some of the same people that defend those on welfare won't defend those who are obese. Obesity is a huge problem in the U.S., and interestingly enought, a big problem with those on welfare and the lower class. I can't tell you how many people I see in my state using the welfare card in line, that are clearly struggling with weight problems. Huh.

I love food, and I fight eating what I really want daily. I understand why I must, but it is still a fight. I have purpose in my life, which is huge in my opinion, but fighting that daily bit of satisfaction from something really tasty still remains difficult. This stops me from judging those who can't fight the fight very well in a harsh manner, because I know how difficult it is. It seems to me that most people sedate themselves with something. Food, drugs, alchohol, internet, ATS, books, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Being overweight is hereditary, and also usually health conditions and metabolism, and also alot of women after their systems get changed to accomodate child rearing, and the natural thing the human body does for aging, for many.

Now, for those who think they're all that and may put down others, unfortunately groundhog day the movie comes to mind, as its the metaphor for the cosmic reality show we enter, sometimes dragged kicking and screaming, until we get it right. And we'll be walking in those shoes we were so ignorant and rudely informed about one day, quite possibly.

Honestly though, it's so sad.

Look-ism is the one form of discrimination that is perfectly acceptable in modern society.

I see it everyday among my 9 year old and his peers. They are obsessed with being acceptable in that regard. It's everywhere and cannot be avoided. It's an impossible and dysfunctional aspiration - nothing is ever enough. I guess it comes from our media drive, image obsessed, narcissistic culture.

Christie's weight is no more worrisome than JFK's affairs, Bush's alcoholism or Reagan's Alzheimer's ...besides, no one can be black-mailed or or jack things up just because they are fat

Do all ya'll haters dismiss the competency of your loved ones, co-worker's or bosses just because they may be fat?

I'd say that they probably are, but are sold utter lies.

Whoever decided to create the giant boom in the idea that low-fat foods help you lose weight, is to blame. Fat doesn't make you fat, neither do protein filled foods, it is sugar, and lots of it.

Think about it, most people nowadays are fairly poor, and most people are also fairly either slightly overweight, or obese. I think the fact that people are poor, and fat, makes sense, since the only affordable option nowadays are cheap versions of everything, which are made slightly palatable by adding excess amounts of sugar. Apart from fresh fruit and veg, and fresh meat, can you name many other foods that haven't had their nutritional values ripped away, to be substituted with chemicals and sugar to make it taste good?

It's not as easy as "eat fruit and veg and fresh, lean meats" ... These are the more expensive items, and have to be replenished every couple of days if they haven't been used up. This equals a lot of money, whereas buying the cheap stuff in bulk is why people are fat, not because they aren't motivated.

I wish Government would force the food industry to do something about this. A free market seems to always make the majority suffer.

"Do you eat to live or do you live to eat, that is the question" - pretty sure I heard this somewhere . . .

One of my very best friends was obese. Didn't bother me one bit partying with him and I was the only one willing to participate in his 5 a.m. gauntlet to regain what he termed the 'six pack attack' he had in high school. He dropped about 40lbs (to 345lbs) in 6 months which was impressive for a 6'4'' 385lb tank.

He went to China over summer break as he wanted to be an art dealer and had a passion for the Asian culture. While visiting Tibet his party went high into the Himalayas and he passed away from elevation sickness. The official report said it was due in large part to his being so overweight.

A year later I found myself working with an individual who referred to himself as a 'reformed fatty' ( he was in great shape after loosing 200lbs) who enlightened me on his view of what being so big was a result of. Essentially he attributed it all to being lazy with no discipline and had very little sympathy for the obese folks.

Personally I have never been overweight as I was always active in athletics but I can say that my friend did show a lot more energy once he started loosing weight so maybe there was something to what my co-worker said after all.

The only thing that really pisses me off and makes want to call folks fatties is when they insist on walking side by side in a hallway, when they have to know that they take up the entire space, and force people to squish against the walls. This happens multiple times daily and drives me crazy every time I see it.

the dress size I wear.

The average presidential BMI is 26 which is overweight according to our government.

A BMI of 30 starts you into the 'obese' catagory, and 24.9 BMI is as big as you can get and still be what they consider 'normal'.

Here check your BMI, see how 'normal' you are

I think it is funny of an ugly woman to call Christie fat. That said, many idiots, ugly people, fat lazy son'natibitchus are rich. What again is your point? You hate children, as far as your posts deduce, so what again is the issue? Fat or children hating, what's the point?

Well, I think those scrawny twerps that call themselves in shape and complain about big people couldn't last a week hauling cement blocks. I could pick up and throw a hundred fifty lb person at least fifteen feet if I got pissed. Maybe us old overweight construction workers should start a new reality game of twerp tossing. We can see who can throw them the farthest.

All this is (the bias against people who weigh more) is social engineering.

We had a meme against people who were successful, who had more money. . . . bingo! New taxes.

Now we are seeing the same thing generated against fat people. . . bingo! Federal food restrictions are next!
See New York for proof! No large sodas, restrictions on salt.

What's next? Penalties under Obamacare if your BMI is above a certain point?
Highter taxes if your waist size is above a certain point?

Freedoms, we're losing them.

There is a difference between you and the average fat person though. Construction workers spend hours each day doing heavy physical labour. Your average fat/overweight/obese person hardly ever lifts or does cardio, or if they do do extremely light labour and claim that its working out.

Back before Obamacare, peoples habits were their individual choice. Be it smoking, drinking, eating, salt, sugar, caffeine. . . these were individual choices and the consequences were individual in nature.

But under the new Obamacare, individuality is lost. Personal responsibility is gone.

Everyone's business is now everyone's business!

Because before, what people did to themselves never affected you. Now it does, thanks to Obama's group-socialist healthcare plan.

Before, when healthcare was an individual responsibility, it was up to the individual what that person wanted to do.

Now that healthcare is a "right" shared by society, what you do has to be now determined by society.

Loss of freedoms. Huge loss of freedoms.

Metabolic syndrome, the main part of my studies, the interaction of food, spices, and herbs with metabolism based on genetics. I am also studying age related changes to the diet that are necessary to stay healthy and live longer. I feel that we could live a real long time, we might start to look like a turtle out of it's shell, but we will be healthy
So the young will call us reptillians and the scientists will call us flukes of nature. The nectar of the gods is not nectar, it is a realization of a way of life.
