Dude, I have played darts nearly all my life.. It may be a boring sport but if you have concentration issues, your screwed . I've only pegged 170 twice in 16 years and never even got close to throwing a 9 darter. One of my Aussies pals is playing in the tournament in the next couple of weeks.. But he was happy to stay.....he admits it was security that insisted that he leave,and caused his embarrassment, so if he was happy to stay he obviously did not feel threatened.

"They were bullying me and picking on me, saying that I was someone else."

He clearly felt threatened by the crowd during the commotion, but after, he was alright to take photos and sign autographs.

Even if he is seeking attention, there is still no doubt that the crowd broke the law...

But there really isn't any reason for the guy to tell two different things. Perhaps he did feel threatened by the crowd, but it got worse once the security brought further attention to the matter? This would explain both comments i guess

Calling someone Jesus isn't breaking the law.

If you think that what this crowd did was breaking the law then you want to get yourself down to the Etihad Stadium on a Saturday afternoon and listen to some of the chants from the 47,000 fans there....many are tasteless....but not illegal.

No they didn't.

If you think that what this crowd did was breaking the law then you want to get yourself down to the Etihad Stadium on a Saturday afternoon and listen to some of the chants from the 47,000 fans there....many are tasteless....but not illegal.

They were stating it in a threatening manner, so it could be classed as verbal assault...

Regardless, i think we have figured out why he is providing contradictory stories.

He may have felt threatened initially when someone started calling him Jesus, but when the security came up to escort him out, that would have been when everyone yelled it at him.

This would be the reason why he stated that he is worried about ever returning to another live Darts event, while also stating that the incident would have been alright if the security wouldn't have come to escort him out.

i was at Old Trafford a while back when we played a russian side in the champions league, name escapes at the mo

we won 3-1 but anyway it was the same month the russian submarine sank and all were killed
the chant was "were all sinking in a russian submarine" instead of the beatles version.

that is called sledging and is perfectaly acceptable in any sport when sledging the challenging team or refs. umpires. but you dont sledge some poor guy in the crowd, thats jst weird behaviour.
