Not "hate"....just don't think they qualify as full fledged American citizens...they should be discouraged to vote, ideally prohibited from doing the same and they are not qualified to make decisions concerning thier own bodies.

No...they don't want "people" to suffer from polution...they want capitalists to get rich even if that means polluting...and that polluting doesn't effect the wealthy neighborhoods...only the poor industrialized geographies...so it's kind of a twofer for the GOP...rich get richer..poor get sicker...and hey...NO HEALTHCARE!

Well in this case, we have a United States Senator (And that title is ALL that matters. It Transcends party by a long shot) who hired an ILLEGAL Alien in violation of the same Federal Law (Recall, federal law has no misdemeanors) he takes an Oath to uphold and defend. Now how are we all supposed to see this type of behavior from the public when it's happening day in and day out with no consequence to anyone doing it?

I'd say the public MAY just start developing a real 'give a damn' attitude toward all laws which don't particularly suit them personally. In fact, I'd say this has been happening for quite some time now.....and ethical black holes like this Senator are precisely WHY we're losing everything that made this nation mean anything.

Also the fact that this Senator should be arrested immediately for violating a law that any other citizen would find themselves in a cell wearing handcuffs if they would have knowingly hid a sexual predator.......

The senator said his staff asks interns whether they are in the country legally but cannot check to be sure.

"We certainly wouldn't have known through any background checks since he is a minor about any sex offender status," Menendez said in an interview Wednesday with MSNBC. "Once it came to our attention, our New Jersey staff director let the young man go."

No one knowingly did anything in this case. Since the intern was 18, and his crime and record is hidden since it happened while he was a young offender. There is no public record of it, according to the article.

If the Senator is shown to have been aware that Sanchez was an illegal immigrant and chose to hire him with that status, then he needs to resign. There needs to be an investigation.

What we do know...

Sanchez is 18. He was charged as a Juvenile, in 2010, when he was 16 with a charge that qualified him as a "Sexual Offender"...which in New Jersey can range from Rape etc. to Public Urination.

Those records are sealed since he was a Juvenile, but the State of NJ chose not to list him on the Public Registry of Sex Offenders...which could be an over-sight or could reflect a charge that didn't warrant it.

Questions:

When did Sanchez's Visa expire? Before or after he was hired by the Senator as an intern? I'd assume if he was illegal in 2010 when he was charged, the cops would have notified ICE etc. So his Visa likely expired between 2010 and now..2012? Between the ages of 16 and 18?

The AP article said that ICE agents were informed in October that Sanchez might be an illegal alien...by who? The same folks that said that the ICE agents were told by Homeland Security to not move on him until after the election? Despite Homeland Security saying that is Categorically false? If HS told ICE to sit on thier hands...then provide the emails, memos etc. I smell OP Researchers...the folks political campaigns hire to do the dirty digging. Doesn't excuse anything, but the story needs to be vetted, investigated.

What methods does the Senator have available to screen hires to his campaign? The Senator claims that all he is able to do is ask if they are legal residents and that he did the same.

Is there any evidence that the Senator was aware of his status?

What was the Sexual Offense? It obviously did not qualify him for time at a Juvenile facility?

Not defending anyone....not Leaping to conclusions for partisan purposes either...facts are important.
