cops say the gun jamed. As some of you may know about the cheep clips out there for these type weapons.

Point is however that sort of jam wouldnt toss someone used to these cheep clips. Maybe this guy did just swipe the gun.

Bear with me here as this probably highly unlikely but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

What if James Holmes and Jacob Tyler Roberts were both being blackmailed into creating 'terror' like this?
Maybe not from the government but from a third-party.

From reading through this thread everyone is confused how a 17 year old could get their hands on such a gun, fire that many rounds and miss.

Could be a new form of 'terrorism' on American soil

Why would they want this to happen? I mean what's the point. It's murder, I seriously doubt the police KNEW this was going to happen.

He missed so many times because (apparently) the majority of shots were done into the ceiling...If this is the case (I heard it second hand in another thread here) that leave us top question why someone intent on Mass Murder/Suicide gave such ample warning, screamed "I am the shooter", blasted a few clips into a ceiling, killed a couple people and then himself.

Dont take me wrong, I am glad it wasnt worse- But what mindset could there be to try to commit a mass murder and yet do everything you can to only kill a couple people??? It would seem that if he had any kind of second thoughts, he would have backed out. Why kill only 2 (are you afraid there is a limit to still get into heaven?) ..I mean...Its baffling.

-And the Hockey mask, Guitar case , drug bust thing...

-Something just isnt right here.

Maybe they took a picture of him with family or friends and cropped them out but anyone who has experience with photoshop or any kind of photo doctoring knows the hair is one of the hardest things to get right.

This is nothing but photoshopped. It looks faked even before the analysis, though.

This one has been photoedited also. Earings added. Hair added. Nose and eyes reshaped.

What we need is for a local to go to the library and see if you can find an annual from Milwaukee High School to see what the guy looked like, for real, if he exists.
He'd be an easy persona to fake because he doesn't have parents conveniently to look up his background on.
Anybody can pretend to have been a friend, an aunt whatever.

Then maybe he was being blackmailed and just tried not to hurt anyone? His last words maybe were an anagram of something he's trying to tell us?

In light of the results of photo examination, I note that the witnesses, no matter how many were actually at the mall at the time, none saw his face, right?

So anybody could have been behind that mask. We have no way of knowing that the person who's photo and ID we have been given was really the shooter.

We just have to take LE's word for this or not.
I remain skeptical about the victims as well.
It certainly is odd that a person, who before becoming not just a kiosk owner/investor, but was allegedly right there retailing his wooden coasters, was supposedly a major marketing consultant and media manager.
Just the sort of person who would be needed to handle the PR angles for this case.

Stan McMillan, a former police officer, is the "voice" of the man witness who went to the apartment after. His gf is the "voice" of the female.

I have been listening to these news briefs and guess what? They are the same voices!

The Stan McMillan version THIS TIME is that he was at the mall, he left, texted his female friend who the gunman stuck the gun in her face but it jammed. She escaped.

I can hardly wait for the next news brief.

In the last one, the woman witness account, (same as the previous voice also), tells that she saw the gunman
and ran to her vehicle and (dry sniff), she was happy she escaped.

If you've been following my "radio news brief" accounts as I hear them, then you may recall that the first witness who made it to the reporters claimed he was ordered to the ground by the gunman, he yells, FU, jumps up and runs away thinking he is following his gf. Only it turns out she is after him so he turns and waits til she catches up. Wow. Same guy's voice.
Funny as he turned to look behind him he doesn't say what the gunman is doing that he and she are able to just run away while everybody else is on the ground!
They run to some nearby apts. But, show up again to give us these blow by blows to the media.

I was hoping to hear more about this point, but it got lost as the thread went on. Can you or anyone else elaborate on this and provide some links? (By the time I read it the livestream you posted a little later was done). Thanks!

"But something wasn't right about the masked person, who Kim said appeared to be a teenager between 16 and 18 years old."

Interesting he could tell the age by the eyes, then again he got it wrong but many early reports said this.

I was typing out the briefs I was hearing on the KXL link. I tune in every night anyway during Clyde Lewis show.
I was relating what the reports were because I felt like most people were watching this on TV.
Maybe it's because I don't watch TV, but listen to the radio instead, you can hear more and learn more that way.
I find the film clips that change every 2 seconds very distracting during the reports.

Anyway, it was later into the broadcast after I heard the witnesses they used for the radio news being what seemed like one man and one woman. In one of the briefs it said, Stan McMillan a former police officer was at the scene of the shooting earlier and was texting a friend who worked at the mall when the shooting started.
Que the voiceover of Stan McMillan. He tells about the female friend having a gun stuck right in her face.
Of all people, OF COURSE, it's the friend of the cop who has an up close and personal encounter in which the
actual gun jamming allegedly occured saving her in melodramatic fashion.

As soon as I heard the name of the cop I was in reply mode taking his statement down here for this thread.

But, what I noticed is how much he sounded just like the first witness I heard giving his voiceover account.
He's the one who claimed to have said FU to the shooter and got up and ran.
And then elaborated about how he thought the gf was in front of him. Only to discover she was running behind him and he stopped to let her catch up. Then he is talking to the reporter adding that they ran to some nearby apartments. The reporter asked if he lived there. He said, No, I live in Fairview.

No response from the woman he was alleged to be with. On the next news brief it was with a woman and she
gave an account of the person shooting in the air and being scared.
Later they went to a guy who was filling out an application at Footlocker.
After hearing that I went to search the Footlocker location in the mall in relation to food court and came back and posted a schematic of the second floor which I found pretty handy.

In this guy's account and he is not the only one who claimed to be there filling out a job application at the time, btw, This guy was named "Billy". And in Billy's story. He and the manager are leaving and he walks by and see's a person laying on the ground. Not two. The girl was found somewhere on the lower floor but I can't figure out how he supposedly shot her because of where she was found and where he was found dead (supposedly with a jammed gun he fixed just so he could shoot himself).

I want to hear more about if anybody else can pinpoint the exact location of the 15 year old girl from the
Sheriff's presser drawings. I was at work and didn't get but a glimpse of it on the TV there.

I have been following this thread today and your post struck my eye as I just found his Facebook page as well. However, the one part you posted from a CNN article struck me as odd.

CNN

Roberts told Curry that his mother died at childbirth and he never met his father, she said. He left his maternal aunt's home at age 14, Curry said.

"He raised himself," Curry said. "He was doing it all on his own."

A friend from high school, Jordan Salazar, said she understood that Roberts' parents were not present in his life.

...Because I just came across this article from USA Today

The Oregonian said one of its reporters went to the Portland home of Roberts' mother Tuesday night, but that she declined to comment except to say, "I loved my son very much."

Bad reporting or disinfo?

This one explains the mom/aunt connection but then blows it by reporting that she became his guardian
when his mom died before his THIRD birthday.

So seems like people are forgetting the script here.

He has no home at the time, because he had split from his roommate.
He has no possessions because he "sold" them.
He has no close relatives. This woman who lived less than a mile from the mall hadn't seen him in
four years.

He wanted to enter the Marines, but couldn't because of a broken foot.

From the same article linked above -

Jacob's mother was born on December 10 and died when she was 22-years old. Jacob went on the shooting rampage the day after her birthday, at the age of 22. No one has said if they believe this somehow contributed to his motive.

Link

I find this very compelling having lost my mother at an early age. He could really have gone off the deep end and planned this date to be symbolic of his mother's passing. He had already not spoken to his aunt/Mom in four years which in my mind shows a bit of disassociation.

I know Amber Tate and her story personally. The lone gunman parked several cars down. She was loading things in her car with some family outside Macys and she heard loud footsteps and saw what looked like a teen with a hockey mask, vest and camo or black clothing carrying a gun. He looked at her but spared her life. They didnt know the severity of the situation until she was sitting in her car calculating what she saw and then saw parents grabbing kids and running out of the store in terror screaming. The parking lot was on the second floor.
