OK but just because the article says he was joking does it mean he was?

Common sense tells me he was joking , the guy inadvertently gets caught spilling the beans about the worlds biggest secret ET on Earth yet he is still Russian PM.

The problem is people are so used to humourless politicians that when one shows a little bit of humour it isn't taken that way , plus he said what ET believers want to hear so it must be true and not a joke.

The subtitles also say 'documentary' not 'movie' when referring to men in black

Couldn't that be part of the joke , that the film is more a documentary than a work of fiction ?

Believe me nothing would make me happier than confirmation of something I believed for most of my life but this isn't it.

I understand what your saying but your intuition that he is joking isn't really evidence. That said, I have nothing to prove he was being serious other than the way he delivered his sentences.
