Well OP, I watched this video. While I find their theory interesting, that seems to be all it is, a theory. The question is, do we have any scientific evidence that our position in the universe at any given time affects our level of consciousness?

According to them, the ages that man goes through on earth are a never-ending cycle of four or five ages(Depending on which culture you take it from). Iron, heroic?, bronze, silver, and gold. So in short, they're saying the stages of precession cause mans consciousness and intelligence to rise on the upswing, and to fall on the the downside. And there isn't a damn thing we can do about it. It's just the natural order of the universe.

So we have approximately 5000 years out of every 25000 years that we are at 100% of our full potential, intellectually, and "spiritually". The next 5000 after that we plunge into the dark ages again, and repeat the cycle.

Who came up with this?

Our sun is going to die, no doubt about it, we gotta get our wits about us and find a new home if we expect to carry on. There ain't a bunch of evidence to prove the timing, even then we should just bounce, ya' know?

I think we might see Betelgeuse display something for us...I've watched it grow in my own lifetime and would think we should head in a direction away from Orion should the juicer not squirt yet.

I'll be long gone by then, so why should I even care?

Apologies, I must have misinterpreted the energy behind your post.

Santos has dozens of lectures on YouTube explaining the the presesions, zodiac, and cardinal points, hermetic science and astrotheology. And much more. In some vids he explains how the stars are where the stories from the bible come from, and how this is the basis for all modern, especially western religion. Law, sovereignty and much more. Its crazy how it all fits together.

Really, I'm not sure why this site tries to maintain a motto of "deny ignorance" while dedicating an entire forum to it? It can be easily, clearly, completely explained how there is nothing physical, astronomical, astrological, or historical of any significance regarding that date.

It is only as significant as humans imagine it to be. So something might happen, but it would be demonstrably due to our hopes/fears/expectations. That type of content already has a place in the Dreams&Predictions, Gray Area, or Rant (or Hoax!) forums. I'm not insulting anyone, just genuinely curious why this site behaves so strangely.

Actually, you can easily, clearly, completely explain why a person might choose to not believe in it. Or you could clearly and completely explain why someone might choose to believe in it after all. That means both parties can do their research. It doesn't make anyone smarter or more discerning. It simply means that one side chooses to hope for one thing, the other party chooses to hope for something else.

I did start watching the video, but I have a real problem with it. They are calling the galactic plane and the galactic equator the same thing and they are not.

I will get this the wrong way probably, I usually do, but basically one we cross twice every years - the galactic equator - and the other we will not cross again for something in the order of 30 million years - the galactic plane.

To attribute some special significance to this point just because it also happens to mark the end of the Mayan b'ak'tun seems illogical.

Why not one of the other long count units?



The 'end' of the Mayan calendar is no more significant than flipping over to a new calendar on the 1st January at the turn of a century or a millennium.

As I understand things for at least the last 60 years the cardinal points have the the main points of the compass. Can you elucidate how this is connected to 2012 and crossing the plane/equator?

I just don't have 1 hour 44 minutes to spare to watch it to the end and it grieves me that so many post these long videos without giving a concise synopsis so we know whether it actually is worth spending that time. 15 minutes is one thing. Nearly 2 hours is quite another.
