2012 real or hoax

I've always thought nothing was going down 12-21-12, but I get a little bit more nervous as each day passes bcuz theres so much hype to this date. I just hope all you fanatics are wrong, that way Me and my boiis can have are we told you so party next day and party are asses off

As with any 'date-related' end of time theory, even the passing f the deadline (pardon the pun) doesn't kill the theory... this is something that history has taught us over and over.

But at least the essence of this 'prophecy' doesn't truly portend the end of all things... just a new beginning.

Real or hoax? Well.. that depends on which flavor of prophecy you subscribe to, or not.

We will find out in two weeks if the Mayan prophecy is true or not.

Heres whats going to happen, Dec 21, 2012 will come and go. Some dude will pop up out of no where and start proclaiming the calendar really meant Dec 21, 2013. Fear porn starts all over. Planet X is on its way, watch out for the star people, they eat little babys and kittens. bla, bla, bla, bla, bla..........

2012 real or hoax

The year 2012 is real. We've lived through over 11 months of it so far.

The hokum and freak out over 12/21/12 is insane and ridiculous, I mean hoax I guess.

It just another date:

Considering the following;

- Mayans are not ancient.
- Mayans understanding of Cosmology and Time were much inferior to OTHER cultures/civilization that are much older.
-Indian/Chinese Calenders are still in use for religious/traditional purpose.
-Mayans did not take many things into account when making up the calenders.
-Mayan descents don't believe in it.
-Mayans Never said about end of anything, they were too busy sacrificing virgins to their god.
-Again Mayans are RECENT and SHORT lived compared to many advanced civilization. They are not ancient like people proclaim.

-People are miserable with their life that they need something to happen in order to live their fantasy and deny reality.

The current year is 2789 Januember the 45th.

I'm planning on quitting smoking on the 22nd if the world ends.

People should be making new world resolutions to start on the 22nd, after all they say we are entering into a new age, that's a lot more dramatic than a new year resolution.

i have wondered the same thing op but then i think if all thoughts are energy mix that with the fact that millions if not billions of people are talking and thinking about this date then something will manifest that day who or what happens though is still up in the air

On topic - OP, nobody really knows for certain so just stick around and see how the timeline pans out. Don't cause yourself unnecessary worry though.

as for me, i'm going to stay inside on that day. i have a feeling there will be enough nutballs out on the streets, that it will be hazardous to my own personal safety. locked and loaded with a bottle of brandy and a warm fire, will be plan de jour.

I remember a few years ago I wondered how I would feel when this year comes, and 12/21 approached. I figured I'd be terrified, nervous what was going to happen. I'm not though, I really don't think anything will happen and I am kind of excited so the day can pass and everyone will stop talking about it, which won't happen of course as someone will show up making some kind of excuse, and new predictions will be here, and we'll be waiting another 5-10 years for a "doomsday" to come, and nothing will happen then either.

I will be spending 12/21 with my in-laws. Oh joy.

Well, I must say, that's thinking ahead! You suggest about the safest resolution I could imagine making. After all, who will be there to keep ya honest if you have to keep it? We'll all trust ...as the world is ending...you really will quit.
