A bizarre picture from the US Navy

Here is an interesting picture of a F/A 18 breaking the sound barrier.

Wish I could tell you something more interesting about the picture, but it's just 60 year old science at work. Looks really cool though

Theres actually amazing video of what happened to the aircraft when it hit the sound barrier. So im sure its not edited.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that picture has been posted before.
