I'd love to see Obama do a joke like this.

Even if its a joke .. it doesnt make sense
why would she do that .. a few people will obviously believe in her jk
and they will panic because of her
so she incite fear for nothing if that was just a jk and nothing will happen in 2 weeks

maybe she know she cant make an official statement yet ?
and by doing this it is the only way she can get her important message out ??
we have to read between the lines here
i checked for her picture .. this is really the PM of Australia
making a jk video 2 weeks before the 21 december ..
what the hell is wrong with her if this is really a jk .. really poor taste jk

but if we read between the lines .. its actualy clever to do that video

Lol, yeah, you're right.

This all too cleverly funny!

People need to wake up and realize that this is an empirical establishment that feeds off FEAR.

All the governments are spreading this notion through the media.

Why would a PM of any country be any more credible than the avid researcher here at ATS?

On second thought, I changed my mind...

I'm cancelling my rental lease agreement for a dugout house in Coober Pedy. Apparently the only one with a sense of "ha ha" is Julia Gillard.

The rest of you guys take this prawn thing a little too seriously, eh ?

I'll just go back to digging out my igloo, drinking beer, and training my pet polar bear to fetch the hockey puck...

Actually, it's a pet hate of most Aussies lol. Shrimp is an American word, Hogan only used it because there was a question as to whether Americans would know what a "Prawn" is.

Beer? I thought you all made your own alcohol in dirty buckets from off fruit........

No no no. That's way down south in Alabama.

Up here, we cook our beer in used, recycled Sorel skidoo boots...

And yes, I know what a prawn is... That was the joke I was trying to make.
Paul Hogan is holding up a great big prawn and calling it a shrimp.

But I guess my sense of "ha ha" isn't the same as you folks down under.

What if she is coming out pretending its a jole but its real, she feels using sarcasm should confuse people.. i dont think any government leader should joke around like this no matter how "humorous" some find this. If this is a joke indeed then she just labeled her self AS A JOKE! HAHAHA FAIL!!

Well, we just discovered electricity down here, and I'm currently typing this on my brand new x286 with dial-up modem whilst riding to town on the back of my Kangaroo named Bob.

The economic stimulus, everyone who paid tax in i think it was 2010 got $1000 put in their bank account it was awesome the only polititian who ever gave anything back. And they ridiculed him at the time but it seems to have worked our economy is booming.

Former Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark used to do this sort of thing all the time on lots of New Zealand TV shows. She even convinced Prince Charles play himself on a New Zealand cartoon show once. It was called "Bro Town", probably the NZ equivalent of South Park.

No less of an actor than any other news anchor that has done movie shots.
Just another disappointment of humor jabbed at the notion the planet would actually
do a b side flip and shake off its fleas..

Why is it when I try to convince people that something could very possibly happen on dec 21, I get ridiculed and shut down, debunked and told off....

But when I say something isn't what it claims to be, regarding the same subject..... I get the same result.... If I would have posted that she was for real, someone like stereologist would have come along and told me its a joke....

people are confusing as hell.

Take me for instance, I might come of as a skeptic but only to see the way others react to my skepticism when they have made a claim that I found had a insufficient explanation for their experience or idea they're trying to pass on. I believe, whether you relay truth or deception, A lie can be a true lie and create a path to truth.

I feel as though this was in very bad taste, comedy or not, I found that over the years, last 20 or so, how comedy has changed into a very vulgar/violent/sexual act to entertain, funny at times concerning at others, I guess that's the point we all have different senses of humor but I feel its turning too controversial, but will it create tolerance or divide society more?

eh people won't panic, becuz most australians will just think it's funny. evidently the triple j teenage audience does.

i'm australian.

they SHOULD be though....but they probably wont.

Hi Repunzel,

Aussie here too,

Many Aussies will also be ignorant of the amount doom and gloom being spread over the web and how some have been put in a state of enough fear or depression to take their lives as some young people have in recent times.

Humor is needed but a balance must be found with respect, take Islam for instance and the recent mockeries of their Prophet Mohammed. Yeah sure I and you have tolerance when jokes are made about our beliefs but we should not try and force tolerance on others by taking jabs at them knowing we will get a reaction.
Same goes for this, many internet junkies take one or another theory concerning 21/12 seriously, we have seen what results in spreading fear of the unknown with youngsters taking their lives after being deceived.

Poor form on who ever organized this whether it be ABC, triple j or the Govt.
Gillard has me confused, I cant tell whether she has all her strings controlled by opposing forces or whether she has a hold of some of her own.
