i've just returned to this thread and --wow! 69 pages!

i was sent to the nearest protestant sunday school as a kid/teener and felt the bible was a fairy story until at 19 i discovered yoga, hatha and gnani branches. after extensive study of the philosophy of yoga i came back to the bible and saw the golden thread that runs thru most/all religeous texts. i was finally impressed. granted that some things have been tampered/removed but also the tamperers have missed some telltale texts as well.

there is much said about the pineal gland in eastern literature and in the bible it states "if your eye be single your whole body is full of light" so in my mind they are talking/writing of the same organ.
"i and my father are one" and something like "whatever you do to another you do to me" reflects the same wisdom you see in non-dualistic advaita teachings. in reality there is only one (actually not even one but you get my drift i trust) and duality is an illusion. this is the basis of morality.

in a later post by someone yoga is referred to as pagan worship or something.

this is often the narrow view of some christians who regard anything outside their own views as devil worship. the real yoga is beyond devils and gods and western gymnastics. it is truly a divine science.

Of course, books are valuable resources, and not just books but words themselves. We as people have evolved through time writing, transcribing, and collecting our thoughts to make valuable research come to light. For "most" of the world when we go to school, it's all about books. Yes we do have new and advanced technology, but only in the words we communicate with.

Now there are tribes, and people who go through life without books, and just memorize everything, but honestly, I think that the humans who are dedicated to putting their thoughts on paper, have grown to a such a dominance that these tribes get pushed aside. Maybe this is wrong to the people who like to write, and maybe for the certain tribes that memorize everything (and eccentric people), have a better way of living, but maybe not. Being as abstract as I am, I care not to attach valuable resources.

Aside from my world right now, I am sure in this second world books are obsolete. Maybe the second world would communicate telepathically, and keep records through memorization. With advanced technology, a simple message could be instantly communicated through telepathic means, like downloading on a computer, but more physical/spiritual.

If books are gone then our words are not, for we are typing words as we continue with this thread, and we can continue this story, which is similar to a book. All in all, books helped us get to where we are now.

no one will read this after 70 pages so here's my useless 2 cents:

2012 seems to be either a physical or spiritual reshaping of our world

depending on the author.

Doom "porn" is rampant here, and even through major media outlets of late.

"Ascension" porn is rampant as well - although limited to conspiracy sites like this one mostly,

and our religious institutions...!

Which one will it be?

I can only say: it better not be the Hollywood version.

I am sure if there is anything to do with 2012, people will read.

I can tell that Ewok is an avid reader. He even motioned that he has over 500 books (pg62), and that he wants to get more (pg69). He was told by the guides to get rid of them (pg62). With all of this knowledge, Ewok is a very smart man. Could he know so much that he has built a fortress of understanding, so that he can help guide us with the help of his mother?

I am not so sure about all of this. He does make allot of valuable posts, and his points are correct towards other resources, but I think all of this is psychologically outdone. We as people all want world peace, and as a collective we have created a point in life to help make a change. The creation of the collective is to live a clear conscious, without any obstructions, and without any bad thoughts. The delusion is that we will ascend into a new world, but who am I to say. Like the light and the dark, I believe and do not.

With all of Ewok’s knowledge from his books, is he serious about all of this, or is he trying to progress like me, so we can perfect learning and our writing ability?

Or, Because Ewok has to get rid of all of his books, has he learned a new researching technique? I think not, since he has to continue researching.

Is what Ewok telling us true? I would like to think so.

I have met a few mystical people in this world that would have a certain unexplainable gift. I would like to think that I have weeded out the unbelievers (maybe not), and let the believers continue on. I think I excelled a little on learning and writing. Maybe I will continue on elsewhere, maybe not.

I'll be straight-forward honest:

the reason why these kind of (channeling/prophesy etc) threads have many more stars & favorites than the more "scientific" ones is, like any other things, due to this simple basic conclusion:

that the human's Imagination is always far 100x much more interesting & vivid/lively and full of variety (not to mention much more mysterious, and fascinating!),
rather than this seemingly mundane, "dry", boring "scientific" findings, as often the case.

This thread is getting huge. I wanted to ask something your mother, did any of them had red shiny eyes where they could teleport you from one place to another instantly.
I think I found out why "the book age is over". We will be able to learn different professions, different art, skills with a blink of an eye by connection to different vibrations/ waves. Before we can do it, we must learn how to read symbols. Symbols are like a letter in the alphabet, but you must know how to read it.

Hi....I have my own theory about "the time for books is over"....
I was wondering if books, cd's, dvd's etc. are soon to be over because everything is online these days...?
The video rental stores in my town have all closed...everyone is watching movies via Netflix (sp), ordering through tv services (ours is Rogers on Demand)....
Also, everyone is buying "kindle" etc. to read books....perhaps soon 'hard' copies of books/music will all only be available via the internet.?
The thought bothers me because if we only have one source....then it's like we are being controlled...and the information can be changed (and then presented as the only truth).
Does this make sense? Not sure if that was what the OP was referring to....like I said, it's just my own theory right now.

I had not thought of it that way....but perhaps?
I don't think of it as a good thing though.....more like a control feature to limit what information we have access to. I can't see it tying into any type of ascension scenario, more like a NWO?
Likely I'm just off in left field, but it caught my attention when the OP mentioned "the time for books is over".

I think that Ewok might have meant books that pertain to religions. Maybe that's why he listed a bunch of religious books in pg1 . But I am unsure. As far as the whole symbol thing, I really don't think that pertains to books being ended. The reason is that you can have a book of symbols, and my example is that some cultures use symbols as their language of writing (I care not to choose a certain one culture).

On the website Huffingtonpost.ca, I found an article by Victoria Stunt that explains many reasons for teens leaving religious aspects behind. I don't care to explain it. As to dominant religions that could take over the world, I think that this would be very bad, but still undecided.

The reference is here

Personally, I think that the way scientific literature is presented here makes for a rather boring read. For example, I've amassed enough evidence of peer reviewed papers in biochemistry and biophysics to present a really strong theory of DNA having an alternative purpose behind simply serving as blueprints for proteins. But, I think you really have to deliver it well...like jokes. Dane Cook's jokes are terrible when read on paper, but his delivery makes him stand out. Most people involved in the sciences are conditioned to keep emotion out. To deliver information in an objective manner. You should check out the papers published in Nature. It's just mind-blowingly objective. A robot couldn't have done a better job.

When possibilities are described and creativity can be expressed in writing, it makes for much more interesting reads, wouldn't you say? And I see that all over ATS.

No offense but suicide goes hand in hand with moronic cowards. To kill yourself out of fear of something a 'man' has propagated clearly shows the lack of intelligence. I'm an asshole I know but I'm a realistic asshole and the world will be better off without these mentally inept people.

Whether any of them have had red eyes we do not know. All drawings of the beings have always been in plain pencil. I absolutely agree with your motion of signals. For example, the majority of beings who communicated with us, preferred using symbols and drawings as a means of communication. Any ideas why you think that is? I believe someone early in the thread mentioned this, but I was unable to find the poster.

The time of books being over was in reference to human kind as a collective still after thousands of years, relying upon information external from themselves. Most believe that salvation, or redemption, truth, "the eyes to see", comes solely from reading books, trying to discover esoteric and archaic information from them, etc. Those who communicated with us told us that, humanity is passed the point in time, where texts will give them any significant benefit. The purposes of said texts were for informative purposes to a certain type of human, which has come and gone. The new generations must now seek advanced sources if they are to continue their development.

I'm sorry, but I do NOT agree that suicidal people are uneducated morons!
Many people in this world are suffering.....do you understand that? Suffering?
Many of those people have gone every route possible to change their circumstances. When an individual has limited options from which to choose....sometimes "ending it" may be the only way "out" for them.
Making judgemental statements....generalizations.....does nothing to aid in understanding.
If your life is cosy/comfortable, then you my friend are lucky.

I appreciate that you took the time to explain.

OP. What are your thoughts on dna activation frequencies? Since you said having anything electronic around while meditating would interfere.... Great post btw, and its ironic how individuals state "deny ignorance" while actually being quite ignorant themselves in a indirect way.

I believe something is going to happen on Dec 21, 2012 when the Winter Solstice aligns with the Galactic Center . The center of our galaxy, the Milky Way, is believed by some to be a massive Black Hole.

This is an astronomical event that only happens once every 25,722 years.

As I’ve written before elsewhere, it might be merely a subtle shift in celestial energy and the beginning of a new cycle of time.

Or it might be something more obvious. I wonder if there's anything to the supposed predictions from Tibetan monks: a two week (?) period of darkness, no electronics working. Not the end of the world though.

I don’t know.

But I do know that I do not believe in ascension to a New Earth on another dimension.

Definitely do not want the Hollywood version.

The reason behind having electronics around is because they create distractions. Whether they be mobile phones, televisions, computer monitors, it doesn't matter, because they all interfere with our minds' focus. So long as the device is in the room, your mind will have trouble centering its' attention. Personally, I eliminate all possible distractions to my sensory stimuli, electronics being one, but to each his/her own.

DNA does actually emit its own EM frequency. It's already been published by multiple people. But whether your environment inhibits DNA activation in other ways than distraction, I cannot say with absolute confidence.
