Webbot future predictions

- A second depression, triggered by mass layoffs, bankruptcies, and the popping of the housing bubble.
- A full collapse of the government of North Korea, death of Kim Jong-Un in late 2019. Eventual Korean reunification in 2022.
- A "data gap" has been found in 2012 running through May 2013. One explanation is that "our civilization gets knocked back to a pre-electronic state," such as brought about by devastating solar activity.
- A new benign form of capitalism will emerge during 2017–2020 lead by a charismatic young university student

Guess you missed the part of ... anyone who isn't interested shouldn't bother.

Whatever. I'm not a 'believer' and I'm not a 'disbeliever'.
It's interesting stuff .... who knows .... it could end up being accurate.

And on that not, I suppose now I have a good reason to put off that tile job in my basement this month.

I don't know much about the Web bot stuff but how accurate has it been in the past?

edit: just read the wiki link and it seems like it's 50/50

I don't know much about the web bot theories but it does sound like it could capture the thoughts of the global consciousness. If this is true then I can see how things could unfold if global consciousness is preparing for dire things to come.

I have always found the Webbot project a bit intriguing. Even though it only has a 50/50 success rate it is amazing to me that a program designed to pick up on stock trends has morphed into one that makes "prophesy" just by picking up on trends from internet searches and keywords. I find it very interesting.

Well the only one for me that shows potential is the solar flare knocking out the power..
as we are in the "Solar Max"..
I can only hope

I'd like to chime in here, when this Gerald Celente starts to speak - I tune out. He is the ultimate Doom Porn Professor and quite frankly since he had his stocks stolen by a bank he is even more outlandish with his claims of impending doom.

I think the web bot project has some merit to it. They pioneered the field of predictive programming but our own awareness of future possibilities can change the outcomes.
I certainly would not take the webbots predictions on it's own as an indicator of anything but when so many other prophecies and events start looking probable then we may well have a problem.
The magnetic poles are likely going to shift and cause unknown problems for us all. I think this is what the webbot has found - where many of our electronics get fried due to solar radiation.

I would like to know how this:
Webbot future predictions

"The Web Bot Project, refers to an Internet Bot computer program that is claimed to be able to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the Internet."

creates a "data gap!?"

And also, if it's constantly tracking those keywords, wouldn't the prediction constantly be changing? I remember this being reported several years ago, does this gap appear in every model since then?

Oh yea-maybe I'm in the wrong mindset but, am I the only one wondering WTH?? after clicking this link: Webbot Prophecy total collapse Dec 2012 - June 2013

I can't copy/paste from the link, but I especially liked the part about the king of Canada!

I have followed the web-bots since '08. That year we were supposed to have a huge earthquake in San Diego (I think it was July). No earthquake. Then there was supposed to be a worldwide flood around March or April of '09. No Noah event happened. Then there was supposed to be another stock market collapse, worse than the first, in Fall of 2009. Nothing really substantial in the markets. Then the summer of 2010 was supposed to be, "The Summer of Hell". A lot of stuff happened that summer, but not anything close to resembling Armageddon. Nothing really big the Web-bots predicted has happened since 9-11, and even that was pretty vague.

TV psychics using parlour tricks are about as accurate.

Personally, I'm done with the Web-bots. Epic fail.

As I understand it (and I'm probably wrong) Web-bot does not predict ANYTHING but just basically shows what subject matter people have been searching around the net about and just shows what the current "trends" are on the internet.

Am I misunderstanding essentially what web-bot does?

200 million searches online about solar flares so web-bot predicts there will be a solar flare?

Webbots...
Just think what you could do with 25,000 sq. feet of servers that crunch yottabytes (1024 bytes) of data. (A yottabyte is a septillion bytes—so large that no one has yet coined a term for the next higher magnitude.)

NSA Utah

And that is just what they wanted you to know. How does the old conspiracy go? Military tech is X amount of years advanced.
There is more money in predicting the future than there is in catching "terrorists"

I actually agree with the idea that we could be facing the elimination of the internet at some point in the future. I think this is an eventuality. With how much we depend on it nowadays, it would be devastating.

That is why I keep books - like encyclopedias and textbooks and such around.

The idea is that each person acts as an intuitive unit, and by processing trends, you can get an idea of what the population thinks is going to happen in the future.

If we are talking about social changes, I would expect this to be fairly accurate, because what the population thinks affects what happens socially in the future.
