I actually woke up at 3:45 this morning and counted little blue stars until I was literally seeing spots!

Give it a try... just pick a page with a lot of stars and try counting them! It's obvious that counting them was NOT on SO's mind when he created the formatting and graphics.

no kidding. i tried to count a few one day on another contest, and decided I would rather just poke out my eyes with a dull pencil instead.

Ive been watching this thread since the beginning of the contest..Congratulations to all the winners and every one that participated..

Poor Heff.....you'll probably be seeing stars in your sleep for days.

So.....do we get another contest? Win or not, great fun watching all the entries come up, and seeing the creativity.

I say you petition SO to build a query so that you can poll the database for star count, filtering by thread and post. Seriously. You guys have a custom database....why not build a custom query to that database, then just feed it out into a report?

There were some awesome Holiday Avatars and I think I ended up starring most of them because they all looked good.
