Yeah, I was thinking animate an avatar with 3 or more slides. You could morph with a fade-in/fade out maybe.

If you need help with the animation part, just let me know

OK well I'm a complete novice at this and have tried some free avatar sites and resizing sites but don't seem to be very good at it.
But I may just take you up on that.

using this technique, i made this in about 3 minutes (including the time taken to search out the two images)

and finally, i painted this a few days ago using a variety of brushes, gradients, and blending.



Not real fancy. More an experiment that I liked the results of.

TOnight i have work related graphics to get done (a new years eve event i am making collateral for). If i get that done early enough, i have something I am going to work on.

The best stuff I do is actually stuff I do for work, from a design perspective. It is all art deco (clean, straight lines, strong shapes, etc). I just can't really share it here, for obvious reasons.

Guys, I need a christmas avvie and my creative head is dead... can y'all help? PWS?

ahh...there you go.

Hey, it really isn't so hard. I don't know GIMP, and never tried to learn it Photoshop just came easier to me. Adobe's interface is more natural to me. I have figured out Illustrator rather quickly, too. I don't get to do much graphics stuff, other than as a hobby...but its a great hobby to have (and makes gift giving quite easy, if you plan ahead). Just stay with it.

Ill make your doggie into an avi. It really is a gorgeous dog. Give me a bit and Ill be back.

No problem I am grateful for your help. Also if those pics are
crap it's okay. I was trying to download Christmas pics for a
possible holiday avatar & the sizing of the ones I liked was just
not happening. I am sure it's me being a newbie.

So I don't really care if I get a holiday one or not...was only trying to
participate. My kennel name is Raven Border Collies. I had a crow for 10 1/2
yrs & that's where it all came from... That doesn't have to be incorporated
at this time as I know everyone is busy for the holidays.
My thought for that (like I said no hurry) is a raven up in a tree, watching my BC
herd sheep below in a line with a background of mountains.
I'm open to anything.
