Yes, there is... the animated part of your avatar just needs to be on a separate transparent image and placed in an avatar which would go over the background, instead of one piece, it would need to be two pieces.

That is how I am animating the Christmas tree...

I am having the tree as the background, and then on a clear avatar making a gif of all the "ornaments" which will be posted separately from the background tree.

To further explain, you know when you used that background image as your avatar in the avatar spot you had to upload a transparent nothing image... well... this time just instead of having the transparent be perfectly clear, that is where you will need to put the gif (the animated part)

The avatar can be animated... just not the background. Right now you have the background animated and a transparent avatar.

Hopefully people can understand what I just said

Gotcha. Non-animated background, with animated avatar (instead of invisible), but done in such a way that the avatar gif is the length of the whole panel-background, to realize the exact same result while staying in the rules.

They might get back to me to say it's ok as is, we'll see.

Edit to add: No response, so probably not.

i think i fixed the misshapen head, and blended the design into the moon a little better

But "better" is subjectively perceptive.

Let's give this a shot. Set both of these into their appropriate spots and let's see if they line up and all that good stuff so I can see what I need to change or whatever. Once you get them set up, I'll take it from there...

I'll try and save you a little time since I've been through this one before. Since the 5/3 site upgrade, aligning avatars precisely with backgrounds doesn't work. Different devices and adjustments of browser window sizes will make the font size change in the user profile, which in turn shifts the avatar up or down by several pixels.

I think the best case for the one you are working on would be to get rid of the star field in the avatar and instead make that area transparent.
