It actually doesn't matter how long your transparent Avy is beyond 240 length... it cuts off after 240. That's all there is... there is no more.

These are just amazing and how nice of you all to do this! I would love an avatar but I would have no idea what I would even want (hence using my own picture). Any prompts to help me choose a good avatar?

Thank you! The weather is slowly changing down here in Florida, for some reason, that avatar just feels like our October/Autumn to me Steampunk Red went off to a spa retreat for a while. Poor girl's feet were killing her from all that walking

Most of the time when I start with an image like this I duplicate the layer turn it into black and white.

To ad textures I search for rust textures and marmer turm those into black and white for blending and warp them around the face .

Then blend them with multiply or overlay but sometimes screen or others also do fine.

Darkening the picture and lighten up the side where you think the lightfall will be also great for effects. . And put some dark blue opposite lighting too .

The smoke I did with just strokes of white, blur it and use the smudge tool to create smoke if it looks to smeared gausian blur will straitened that out. .
