Where does acceptance of Biblical laws equal hatred? That's unfit rhetoric coming from those who don't understand the messages of scripture.
I have struggled to internalize the old quote" If you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all" and adapted it to myself as :If
I can't feel anything nice about something then I shall remain neutral.
The experience of being a homosexual is one that differs from my experiences in life. I am straight and it's what I know. I know this of my Hetero
experience. I don't have to be attracted to anyone. I can consciously choose whether or not to feel attracted to even the prettiest woman in the room
or not.
Based on my experience, it seems reasonable that other people, whether gay or straight, could choose to be sexually attracted to another person. I
think the individuals get to choose how deeply to allow the attraction into thier being.
Following lessons learned in the Bible , I don't hate anyone. I genuinely WANT to love all people but it's hard in this world. And it's easiest, IMHO,
to love others more similar to myself.
Ditto on the no gay Christians statement. As a Christian it is a defining characteristic that you be willing to "die to yourself" get over your ego.
Your identity as a Christian should be paramount.
Black Christian
Asian Christian
American Christian
Gay Christian
Middle income Christian
See how bad that looks?! Being a Christian is all about being a human and establishing a relationship to the Creator by way of the lessons taught by
Jesus, at the very least.
