I suspect this has something to do with the underground pyramid they found up at Alaska and they have found the way to turn it on.
Apparently it has enough energy to power the whole world's electrical needs. So using this amount of energy would definitely be an awesome amount of power if they were to pump it into HAARP.
That's my guess.

You are likely correct. The thing is, I find it reasonable never to dismiss a thing because it sounds crazy.
I continue to remember that there have been many times in history where what was considered impossible or crazy was correct. For instance, when the most learned and respected on the planet believed the world was flat, the ancients who came long before them already said it was round.
I don't think it is wise to dismiss things if we base our dismissal on our belief that scientists say it is not going to happen or is impossible.

Just to clarify regarding magnetic pole shifts - they have happened many times throughout Earth's history, without death and destruction, and without continents shifting all over the place or people flying up into the air. The physics just plain doesn't support any such events.

This is interesting because History channel and NAT GEO keep making DOOMSADY documentaries where they say that a pole shift occurred in the past and entire civilisations had vanished and there was geological evidence that it happened - BUT of course the expert has to quickly say that "OH it happens over a long period and there's no chance of instant destruction"
With these channels constantly making ancient alien documentaries and doomsday documentaries - I DONT TRUST THEM and I think they are basically preparing us for this high tech geological 911 and then a hi tech alien invasion 911 shortly afterwards - HOLD ON TO YOUR BUTTSS - (Samuel L Jackson Jurassic park 1993)

I came across this in my recent research of a man made polar shift...regardless whether it is man made or not I think this topic needs way more serious consideration. Not only is the theory sound and supported by much scientific evidence (need I say gravity is caused by our earths magnetic field) but the ancient people's of this world and their texts not only mention and understand the principles of magnetism and the pole shifts...they were preparing for it.
Not only did they understand it's principles they regarded it as a building block for life. The polar shift is a recurring theme in all these books and in many more... Einstein even commented on it being a possibility.
Then you have people like the famous Leedskalnin, who built coral castle. Not only did he say he discovered the secrets of the ancients and magnetism he also had his own theory on the polar shift.
Leedskalnin's magnetic universe is cyclical, and despite all the varying speculative fervor about the infamous date, the notion of a pole reversal during this time remains considerable.
If pole reversals are cyclical then they are predictable, especially by a mathematically and astronomically savvy group of humans like the Maya --
Here's Leedskalnin's thoughts... As I said in the beginning, the North and South Pole magnets they are the cosmic force. They hold together this earth and everything on it, and they hold together the moon, too. The moon's North end holds South Pole magnets the same as the earth's North end. The moon's South end holds North Pole magnets the same as the earth's South end.
Those people who have been wondering why the moon does not come down all they have to do is to give the moon one- half of a turn so that the North end would be in South side, and South end in the North side, and then the moon would come down.
At present the earth and the moon have like magnet poles in the same sides so their own magnet poles keep themselves apart, but when the poles are reversed, then they will pull together.
time to switch in wikipedia for some books people.

I think she will be safer in Kentucky if this happens, rather than Washington State. Your location shows you are in Denver, isn't Kentucky a bit out of your area...and what exactly do you estimate? Back to the pole shift...if there is a sudden reversal of any kind being near the coast in any location to me would seem very perilous, especially the west coast, the seismic activity there is well known and most likely would receive a major shift, many mountains with volcanic activity, the ocean would just swallow much of the coast line immediately...since when does working for Boeing make her brother an expert? You are not even that safe in what is supposed to be the next capitol of the USA (Denver).edit on 12/1/2012 by BrokenAngelWings33 because: Edit

For a second there I thought it was plausible, but than I thought where could this come from.
As far as I remember it's just one of Hitlers conspiracies.
I am not an expert on polar shifting, but a quick google search and i found this:
No, a pole shift won't cause global superstorms
Plus I remember my friend told me several years ago - forget everything about pole shift, nothing to fear, this is bogus.
Very few, if any, aircraft navigate with magnetic compasses. They use GPS and gyrocompasses, VOR and non-directional beacons.
Well one fear would be reasonable all the thousands of aircraft in the air at a time would have navigation trouble
What problem? I mean, other than the inconvenience?
ALL THE AIRPORTS WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WE HEARD ABOUT WHEN THEY CLOSED THE ONE TO RE-DESIGNATE RUNWAYS BECAUSE THE DIRECTIONS WERE OFF
