This may be Prelude to the coming peace plan.
Prelude

How will they manage the circumstance to get their way? This is the question for this thread. Those who know Vatican history: What is their game plan to nudge the desired direction? I believe past tactics always reveal future behavior. For me, it will be connected to money. The moneychangers are working in debt (financial tables turned). The peacemakers need money and have no rest (benches turned for dove sellers). Where is a sure source?

Jesus told Peter to feed the sheep. He has a choice it seems.

Those who know Vatican history: What is their game plan to nudge the desired direction?

A look at source materials would seem appropriate. News articles refer to a written statement given by Vatican on Nov 29. "the Vatican said in a written statement Nov. 29" see Vatican praises new UN status for Palestine, urges full sovereignty But I haven't found an actual copy of this written statement yet.
In its statement, the Vatican noted its 2000 agreement with the Palestinian Authority supporting "the recognition of an internationally guaranteed special statute for the city of Jerusalem."

I did find the BASIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE HOLY SEE AND THE PALESTINE LIBERATION ORGANIZATION of 2000.
All references to Jerusalem seem to be in the Preamble:
Declaring that an equitable solution for the issue of Jerusalem, based on international resolutions, is fundamental for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, and that unilateral decisions and actions altering the specific character and status of Jerusalem are morally and legally unacceptable;

Calling, therefore, for a special statute for Jerusalem, internationally guaranteed, which should safeguard the following:

a. Freedom of religion and conscience for all.

b. The equality before the law of the three monotheistic religions and their institutions and followers in the City.

c. The proper identity and sacred character of the City and its universally significant, religious and cultural heritage.

d. The Holy Places, the freedom of access to them and of worship in them.

e. The Regime of "Status Quo" in those Holy Places where it applies;

As far as money matters go, they seem to be in Articles 5 - 7:

Articles 5

The PLO recognizes the freedom of the Catholic Church to exercise her rights to carry out, through the necessary means, her functions and traditions, such as those that are spiritual, religious, moral, charitable, educational and cultural.

Article 6

The PLO recognizes the rights of the Catholic Church in economic, legal and fiscal matters: these rights being exercised in harmony with the rights of the Palestinian Authorities in these fields.

Article 7

Full effect will be given in Palestinian Law to the legal personality of the Catholic Church and of the canonical legal persons.

It looks like someone has already gone to a lot of trouble to assemble much historical documents and studies of involved personalities. See The Vatican Seeks to Reclaim its Own – “The Vatican Wants Jerusalem” by Robert D. Mock MD

Probably this way....

Justice and peace groups in England and Wales have expressed shock at the news that a leading world banker, Michel Camdessus, managing director of the International Monetary Fund between 1987 and February 2000, has been appointed to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace at the Vatican.

www.indcatholicnews.com...

What has the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace been working on lately?

According to an online news story on the conference by Carol Glatz of Catholic News Service, on Friday, June 17, 2011, "The Vatican and some Catholic thinkers are urging businesses to not only employ ethical policies within their companies, but to become dedicated to bringing economic justice to the wider world. In fact, people should be wary of superficial ethical practices that "are adopted primarily as a marketing device, without any effect on relationships inside and outside the business itself" and without promoting justice and the common good, said Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican's secretary of state.

Cardinal Bertone was one of a number of speakers invited to the Executive Summit on Ethics for the Business World, sponsored by the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the Legionairies of Christ's Fidelis International Institute, which promotes ethics in business.

The June 16–17 conference brought high-profile leaders from the manufacturing, industrial, banking and financial sectors including representatives from General Electric and Goldman Sachs, as well as Catholic experts in Catholic social teaching. "Everyone here has been 'cherry-picked.' It wasn't an open invitation to everybody," said Father Luis Garza Medina, vicar general of the Legionairies of Christ, who helped in the planning of the event. Organizers purposely chose people from different industries, countries and religions in order to hammer out ethical principles held in common, which often reflect the views inherent in Catholic social thought, namely the principles of the centrality of the human person, subsidiarity, solidarity and the pursuit of the common good, he told Catholic News Service June 17.

The real challenge, however, is taking those common principles and translating them into concrete action that will have a real impact on local and world economies, and on people's lives, he said. The meeting's goal was to show how "Charity in Truth", Pope Benedict XVI's 2009 encyclical on social justice issues, could inspire leaders to find practical applications of these universal values. In his talk June 16, Cardinal Bertone said the encyclical makes clear that there is no way businesses can remain ethically neutral: They are either serving the common good or they are not," >

In August 2011 the Council issued a "Note" entitled "Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary System in the context of Global Public Authority", which includes the further development of the theme already presented in Caritas in Veritate.

This senario is explained in the bible in various books including Tribulation and Daniel among others.

Please show me in Revelations and Daniel where they speak of these 7 years.

I did not refer to any seven years in my post, however, I assume you are refering to the seven year period commonly and erronously termed the Great Tribulation. The 'tribulation' is a period of 42 months, or three and one half years, only half of the seven years.

Daniel 9 refers to 'The Seventy Sevens' with the 'seven' meanings days of the week. The bible tells us that one day for the Lord equals one year for man. So one of Daniels sevens means seven years.

Daniel 9-27 He will confirm a covenant with the many for one 'seven', but in the middle of that 'seven' he will put and end to sacrifice and offering. And one who causes desolation will place abominations on a wing of the temple until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.

This is the German/EU leader signing a seven year treaty with Israel and other ME countries. However, in the middle of that seven years, he will invade and conquer Israel, setting himself up in the newly rebuilt temple and proclaiming himself as God. The next 42 months will be the period of Tribulation with the worst of this being the final 12 months being 'The Day of the Lord'.

Revelation 13-5 also refers to the 42 month period which the beast was given to exercise his authority.

The tribulation is the first 3.5 years, the great tribulation is the last 3.5 years. The great tribulation is known amoung the jews as "Jacob's Trouble", because the church is gone, and only they are left.
