2012 Mayan Apocalypse Rumors Have Dark Side, NASA Warns

Yes, an asteroid the size of a 10 story building passed within 45K miles of Earth, and NASA (and/or the News Media) never said anything. Find Brian Williams talking about it on Youtube (MSNBC Undetected Asteroid).

Lets assume something was eminent (and maybe unavoidable for all intents and purposes). Any news would result in anarchy even sooner than the calamity would produce. And you can bet that any escape to safety for key government or private sector individuals would be hugely complicated by that scenario. Much easier to fly to Denver and slip into the bunker under normal circumstances. At the end of the day, there are not enough police and military to counter-act a breakdown in society. We couldn't even contain the riots in LA post Rodney King. So, I don't trust NASA is being square with us... although calming peoples' anxiety could be a nice gesture.

There are certainly a lot of environmental, solar, government movement and other circumstantial evidence that something is afoot -- even without any ancient culture warnings. Enough to make you go hm-m-m.

You bring up people going to Maya site's. What blows mind is that Island in the middle of the Pacific a 1000 miles off the coast of South America. Well that island in the middle of no where was visited by Maya people and they carved the giant boulders there, in to shapes of animals, black panthers and such..

One of the thing's that is really mind blowing about this location, is that on 12/12/2012, on this Island there will be a full eclipse of the Sun. To me this is completely unbelievable, what I mean is really how on Earth is it possible that this Maya people , basically these primitives would know that this was going to occur on this Island on that day in the middle of no where.

Some say that the maya were stupid, I am in awe, that they could be aware of this and so much more. That Island is not a easy place to get to even in this day and age. But they the Maya people got their and knew that on this exact day on 12/12/2012 that this full eclipse would occur, why, how.

I don't know if anything will happen on the date in question, but I would in no way mock these Maya people, or their calender as they were so it seems, a tune to cycles of the solar system, galaxy and perhaps much more. I have no fear of what will happen regardless, as in my state of mind I am far pass worry, of such things as I am only an observer. What I do realized is the Earth is on a brink of very bad times, the Earth needs to be healed and we are the only ones that can do it.

Those that don't realize all things come to a end in time, it needs to be know that TPTB are concerned with the population of Earth. The US has endorsed genocide since the 70s ( Kissinger) that I am aware of, this is what's going on in Africa now, if something bad does happen in the world, there will be not much that can be done and billions will die.

I myself prefer that the perfection of Earth to occur and peace to rein on Earth for a thousand years so the fulfillment of all things can be.

you get calculator to change time to your area, at least this is my understanding.

But my point is, changing the time zone where i live isn't going to change the date of an "event" where i live. We can only relate things to the time zone that we live in. If a worldwide event happened and it was the 22nd in Australia for example, but it was still the 21st in the US for example, then to someone in Australia the event happened on the 22nd, but to someone in the US it happened on the 21st. But it was the same event.

It's funny how people will qoute the Mayan predictions, but then go on with all this doomsday and end of the world rubbish that has never been mentioned by the Mayan's. They claimed it was the date for the end of the old cycle and the beginning of the new cycle.

How can we 'evolve' with such attitudes and behaviour ? And if the Mayan's said it was an old cycle ending and a new cycle beginning, then ask yourself this simple question........ 'if the world was going to end, then why would they talk about a NEW cycle. If the planet didn't exist anymore, then how can a NEW cycle exist.

If the world doesn't end but you commit suicide, you won't be missed by the majority when we carry on with our lives, but if the world does end then we will all be dead and you won't be remembered !

If you commit suicide based on the hysteria around the 21st December, but the world doesn't end, then what about your family and friends AFTER the 21st December ?????? Is it fair that you leave them with this horrible memory of your death just because you wanted to take the cop-out option ?????? What about the paramedics that have to recover your body and live with that image for the rest of their lives because of your cop-out decision ????? And as i said, anyone that would commit suicide based on paranoia, hysteria, half thruths, mis-information etc, really has no place being on this planet to begin with.

Now before you all call me shallow for saying this, then what do you call someone that feels the need to commit suicide, leaving family and friends to pick up the pieces, all based on their mis-interpretation of a prediction ? I'd rather be called shallow for pointing out the obvious, then commit suicide and pass the burden on to my supposed love one's.

So to anyone reading this that is considering committing suicide before or on the 21st December, then spend your last few days checking to see exactly WHERE the Mayan's said the world is going to end. When you find that they NEVER said the world was going to end, are you still going to commit suicide just because you've already committed to it ? But if you still want to commit suicide based on mis-information and fear-mongering, then why wait to the 21st, you're only stealing oxygen in between and you will not be missed by me !

This is the first 2012 thread I ran across so ill post this somewhat off topic comment here. I dont think much of this 2012 stuff but it looks like marlboro has, they are having a "biggest night of the year" party in vegas on 12/21/12. Looks like they're in it to cash in on this dooms day prophecy. If I would feel bad about taking advantage of people I would use this opportunity to cash in aswell. I wonder how many big companies are using this opportunity to make money?

It is an old rock on a stick, one with a hole resembling the marrow hole of a cows front leg bone near the shoulder. It is much bigger than a cow bone though and is rock. It's not the size of a 10 story building, he says "picture an airstream mobile home" which is a tiny fraction of the size of a 10 story building, and he adds that scientists assure us it wouldn't have done much damage, which is confirmed here:

It's not easy to spot 7 meter objects but since they usually don't pose much threat, it's not a big deal if we miss some. If it was solid iron it might do some damage.

We watched a similar sized asteroid, 2008 TC3, nearly as large (up to 5 meters) impact the Earth and it did no damage at all...none. They found a few pieces like this they believe are remnants of it:

Remember in October 2008 when Asteroid 2008 TC3 hit the scene – literally? This was the first asteroid that was predicted –and predicted correctly — to impact the Earth. Luckily, it wasn't big enough to cause any problems, and its path was over a remote area in Africa. It streaked into the skies over northern Sudan in the early morning of October 7, 2008, and then exploded at a high 37 km above the Nubian Desert, before the atmosphere could slow it down. It was believed that the asteroid likely had completely disintegrated into dust. But meteor astronomer Peter Jenniskens thought there might be a chance to recover some of the remains of this truck-sized asteroid. And he was right.

Fifteen fresh-looking meteorites with a total mass of 563 g were recovered by 45 students and staff of the University of Khartoum during a field campaign on December 5-8, 2008. A second search on December 25-30 with 72 participants raised the total to 47 meteorites and 3.95 kg. Masses range from 1.5 g to 283 g, spread for 29km along the approach path in a manner expected for debris from 2008 TC3

Even if an asteroid the size of a 10 story building (30 meters) hit the Earth, if it was just rock it still probably wouldn't do much damage according to this damage calculator:

I plugged in 7m and 30m objects at 45 degree angle going 22km/s, and 1km from impact because it wouldn't accept 0. They make a big airburst, and you might get some decent size fragments hitting the ground, but it's not such a big deal unless you get hit by one of the big fragments directly which is pretty unlikely.

The object which impacted Tunguska is thought to be on the order of 100m, and that caused lots of damage to the trees in the forest, but objects that large are much easier to spot, so they are less likely to sneak up on us like the 7 meter objects.

Parties on the winter solstice are nothing new. They started because it meant the nights would start getting shorter and spring was right around the corner. As an added bonus it is the longest night of the year so theoretically there's more time to party than any other night.

i would propose that NASA is treading onground they are not qualified to be on.

the culling of unbalanced teens or aduts is a normal function in the species...let the zombies destroy themselves in one-way-or-another , drugs, smoking, alcohol abuses are common methods

as you the reader can concur..." 4 Earth" can mean that the physical Earth may be the source of the destruction period, by way of earthquakes, land mass shifts by plate slippages. vulcanos and the rising or sinking of the present land surfaces, etc
the ideas born out of mens mind in the form of technologies could also be another meaning of "4 Earth" in the coming calamities...i.e. nuclear weapons, HAARP weather manipulation getting uncontrollable, nuclear power plants going frantic (like in Fukishima)...lots of other stuff we suffer unintentional consequences from that were supposed 'blessings' to humanity before this era of societal/cultural/moralistic Entropy began
