If it's climate change and the earth is cooling wouldn't co2 levels be going down since ocean water evaporates slower at a cooler temp? Wouldn't the ice be melting slower now rather than speeding up?

I think the axis of the earth is changing and will have a sudden jerk into new location as the forces get stronger. The new Arctic circle will run from North Dakota to South Carolina. The entire north east will be arctic.

I mean, you'd think to protect people they'd have it facing out rather than in containment-form of facing in.. You might want to think about all this. I don't know if I would want to live in a bunker for the rest of my life with little or no food and water. I think I would rather just live my life to it's potential and have no worries. Give me a bud light and call it a day. Sorry to burst your bubbles. I'm not gearing up for any certain date. I think it's responsible anyway, to stock food and water. I will not be that woman on the corner asking the govt, when they are coming to help me.

what I find very interesting about shelters, 50 60 70 years ago, they trained the public to know where these things were. At least that's the feel I get from the old movies and hand books and stuff I have read or been taught in school plus history channel PBS ect ect, IM a dork I love just learning crap. ^^ they showed you where they were, how you were to proceed calmly when the sirens went off. IM 34 years old now and not one single time have I ever heard the words, bomb shelter(which mind you IM kinda grateful and kinda scared at same time). From any school, older person, government body NO ONE.

Yet IM one of those types that explores anything so I usually look for the tiny rusted signs that are still left all over the area I live, most semi hidden and wonder, are they still there. Also what constituted as a bomb shelter back then some were just large basement, IM talking about the REAL bomb shelters and how is that going to work in this day and age when people can't even hold a freakin door open for you or say thank you when you do it for them like they deserved it or something.

I mean is there something or somewhere to go to get access or at least learn about civilian bomb shelters in the USA? I've tried all kinds of searches but they usually end up at private options. I know you can build them/have constructed for you. I know you can get an old missile silo or and decommissioned under ground military facility for as low as 250k(at auction) in some parts of the country and around the world if you are in the billion dollar club old submarine bases and what not. You can even build backyard type, what good that would do I don't know lol. And living in an old decommissioned military anything seems sketchy because wouldn't that mean who ever is attacking us is probably going off old info (old google maps lol ) which means its your new home? haha that would suck lol. haha I feel so safe and I have 3 football fields of house underground, then all of a sudden your house starts screaming defcon 8 or something with red light going off and what not lol. ^^

I think in the end only man made problems we will be able to save ourselves from such as a ww3 or even famine , we know how to generate light underground we could grow quite a lot of different foods with hydroponics, generators, solar panels and IM sure underground you would have access to most underground lakes/ river systems/steam vents allowing for clean water and more uses of electricity. So even if we had some kind of polar ice age long or short or had giant solar flare, we are like cockroaches we will survive lol. So long as we know anything about it at least even a weeks notice.

The thing that will screw us the most will be the universe its self. Polar shift, comet, asteroid, dwarf anything nibiru or not lol, moon getting destroyed, star going super nova some where close, hell maybe even Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus or Neptune catching fire lol. ^^

p.s maybe we should get an ats vault going that way when the world ends we wont end up with dip%^&s running the world again lol.

Someone needs to do some digging on these Chinese cities in Africa. We need to know where they are, how they are accessed, by what roads, distance from the coast, major supply inlets for the city. We need to know which direction this city was built to be accessed by (East, West, North, or South). Other information needed should be: integrity of material for constructs, plumbing, water treatment plants, irrigation and agricultural networks.

The architecture of this city and its roads is a better determination of any life threatening future events. The American government and its actions are inflated. There is a large population of critical thinking Americans growing that no social construct can contain.

I know for a fact these Chinese ghost cities exist in the rural mainland of China as well as Africa.

One reply to multiple posters. The idea is not to remain underground for years on end. The idea is to remain concealed and safe whilst the rest of humanity, the 'Where is my Government' brigade die off. I would say six months at most and more likely a lot less than that.

The survivors have earned their place in the new world by being practical.

You stay hidden as long as you can and then with your last provisions you head to an area with better climate.

Once the population is at sustainable levels the rebuilding can start.

Consider also that in Putermans scenario, less solar output > lower global temperatures > less heating of the oceans > less clouds formed > less rain on agricultural land > dramatically less food is grown.

One part of the puzzle I can not fathom, and it annoys me no end, is INDIA.

The population of India will surpass China's shortly.

In this scenario they have to be thinned. Not much use for call center operators I do not see the severe cold eliminating the masses and yet they are a massive problem, in the same league as Africa.
