Does 'LOL' Really Mean 'Lucifer Our Lord'?

When we "laugh out loud" online, are we really praying to Satan, the prince of darkness himself?

The answer is no, but an image posted by a user on the social news site Reddit is warning the Internet otherwise.

According to the directive, which is meant to be shared "with Christians," the classic and ubiquitous "LOL" acronym stands for "Lucifer our lord," something the image's creator doesn't find funny at all.

The Warning :

LOL stands for Lucifer our Lord . Satanists end their prayers by saying Lucifer our Lord . So every time you type LOL you are endorsing Satan.

Other conflicting Abbreviations :

- YOLO : Youth Obeying Lucifer's Orders
- ROFL : Rise, our father Lucifer
- BRB : Beelzebub rules below
- WTF :Worship the fallen

So , are we indirectly worshiping Satans ?

I concur. Someone made these up for shock purposes. I never heard of these uses as you've described them and I can be considered an expert. I have used internet chat rooms and such abbreviations since before personal PC's and the WWW were invented.

could well be. what do people laugh about ? it is mostly malicious joy, schadenfreude, spitefulness. so, some do have to take the pain and pay for the amusement of others.

Christian or not you seem to have gotten some of your ideas about "devil societies" , and your hate of "devil, satan, lucifer" from somewhere.
