While a no show for the Nellis Air Expo, the WB-57 is now at Nellis. If the past operation hold true, they will park it in front of the DOE Remote Sensing Lab. ( 36°14'31.51"N 115° 1'11.24"W). You can see it from across the street. For a better view, there is a berm you can stand on near the intersection of Hollywood and LV Blvd, roughly 36°15'30.90"N 115° 1'30.29"W.

The first test loop has shown up. All flight is outside the restricted airspace. It went as far north as a bit shy of Texas Lake. Altitude went as high as 49kft.

2/12/12 I presume is Dec 2, 2012. [My edit was because I thought you meant Feb 12, 2012).

So is it going to be based out of the UK then, or retired in the UK?
edit on 2-12-2012 by gariac because: (no reason given)

It landed at Mildenhall from Crete yesterday, and departed for Lajes today. Once it arrives back in Houston, it goes into PDM until Feb, and deploys again Feb 28th until Sept 30.

NASA09 flying over the NTTR and the NTS, but skirting Groom Lake. Reported altitude around 50kft.

I think the general trend for this plane to enter the range is from the east side, which is odd. Usually civilian aircraft enter from the west side via Desert Rock.
