Our "leaders" have made another frightening advance in technology.
The government can now, after scanning a 10-minute voice sample, create a digital facsimile of anyone's voice. This "virtual recording" technology
gives a near-perfect voice clone, allowing Big Brother to make anyone say anything. Imagine Osama bin Laden "praising" the United States and
"admitting defeat;" or one of Mr. Bush's political competitors "accepting" under-the-table campaign donations.
What's more, this can take place in near-realtime. Did you *really* just talk to your girlfriend on the telephone?
The implications are terrifying.
