Hi, everyone. I originally discovered ATS through /x/. I've been lurking the Conspiracy Theory, Off-Topic, and Mysterious subject matter forums (which is where you will find me mostly.) I'll be 16 soon, so I'm going to assume I'm younger than most of the people registered here based on what I've retained from browsing posts. I, unfortunately, live in Louisiana and I've been here my entire life. It's not necessarily "hard" but somewhat difficult to live here when your beliefs and opinions are too "far out" for such an inherent xenophobic town and state. I'm glad to had found this site to use it as an exodus from the daily anti-intellectualism that I face. It's nice to find a community generally and typically consisting of like-minded individuals. I'm grateful that a community like this even exists. I plan to be a long-term member of ATS and to form e-friendships here, as well.

For someone at 16 yrs of age, you seem to be well read and have a solid grasp of the English language with regards to grammar and spelling.

I know what you mean. I just turned 30, but when I was 16 I was in Podunkville, Texas (AKA Waco) and I would have loved to have had a site like ATS at that time. Luckily I had a few like minded friends there, but I know how hard it can be living in places like that. Felt like the whole town was against me. You'll find a way out if you try hard enough.

But please keep trying. I saw several people just get swallowed up by that town. They could have done great things if they'd left, but they're still working at the mall in Waco.

You don't want to be that guy.

What are your interests on ATS? What is it about the way you think that makes it hard to live where you do?

I bet you would have been more than glad. Luckily, I have a few like-minded friends, as well. They keep me sane in the insanity. I'd never fall prey to the idiocy I face here though, I can promise you that.

My interests on ATS are mainly to stay in touch with what's going on behind the scenes, any possible outside forces, impending doom, or other various catastrophic and detrimental things that the world has to offer since ATS seemingly keeps on track of current events and conspiracy theories diligently.

I feel it makes it hard where I live by the way I think in the sense that mostly everyone that lives here is a conservative Republican, overtly-zealous, Bible thumper, homophobic, God fearing, and ever "moral" loving Western religious follower. I'm none of those. I don't fit in well with the populous by any means. It's not horrible though because I realize I could be in much worse off conditions like living in a third world country and I'm not so for that I'm thankful.
