My concern is:I see a lot of suicidal people on the 22nd and after-and lets face it-NOTHING profound and/or cataclysmic is gonna happen on that day,im becoming more and more sure of that. There are many Starseed types/New Agers who believe we or the planet are going to "ASCEND" into higher dimensions.A lot of people have been centering their lives and lifestyles around this supposed happening, and for years-it is their entire focus-and among these are some Very emotionally, mentally and spiritually fragile people..so,im seriously concerned about their welfare after The Most Hyped-Up Event in history. On the other hand..Some say, because there Are billions of minds on the planet focusing on that day,it could affect the outcome,it could bring something into being,an event..idk,i just feel,if you have friends/family/loved ones who are Living for that day, especially New Agers, and especially those prone to/had suffered major depression,KEEP AN EYE ON THEM.Not getting their clean getaway are going to drive many to suicide.I understand why,im sick of being here too, really,i am Tired, more tired than i can possibly explain-but one has to deal..And keep on dealing till its your own personal exit point. No get out of jail free card,no clean getaway.

Humans are pretty primitive even today. We still are wiping our butts with toilet paper and use money and overrulled by corrupt corporations and governments. so taken all this into account..im pretty sure some ancient time table by our "modern" standards has nothing to do with reality outside our point of reference.

If we really were non primative enough to tap into the potential of mathematics...we wouldnt be running things on fossil fuel; we would be visiting other galaxies...so I think you should take a chill pill on the whole 2012 thing.

So your saying if our doom doesn't happen in December we are doomed?

If I don't die this year I will still die.

Humanity won't. Society as we know it might... but then its different now to 1912 without the end of the world

I've read all sorts of theories on what could happen on dec 21st 2012. Sure a "shift" in consciousness would be nice, but I don't think itll happen in a day. 3 days of darkness? Tolerable, but I'd rather not.
I'm tired of it, I just want the day to pass and be happy to read the "I told you so" threads & live to experience the continuation & longevity of My life.

Eta: I have a friend that hopes for destruction on that date, it annoys the heck out of me everytime he brings it up.
I find it to be selfish, inconsiderate and lacking real pondering. I've always wanted to say that just because you feel like your life sucks or you can't get the girl you want doesn't mean u gotta wish humanity gone on some doomsday trip.

Another person, hoping for the end of the world, beginning to think "wait, if nothing happens I'm gonna look like a right Pillock"
So, if it doesn't end this year it doesn't matter, its going to be soon anyway.
Ever heard of doom porn?

So you want something bad to happen? You see the death and destruction of humanity as a good thing? A chance to reset things? I wonder if you'd be so happy if it was ll of your family that died, and it left you crippled and unable to take care of yourself....

So you're suggesting that I choose my family over the lives of billions of innocent people over the course of the next ten years? Now that isn't selfish at all. In fact, if I asked my friends if they'd give their lives to prevent all future wars from happening, they wouldn't hesitate.

What kind of person WOULDN'T give up their life to save the future?

Those who want this 'destruction' to happen baffle me.

Better the destruction we're responsible than the one we're not, right?

Edit to add, what makes you the expert on what humanity needs? Im sure plenty thought humanity needed a reset with the rise of the third reich... But we adapt and evolve and right wrongs as best we can. Theres always going to be trouble on the horizon.

That's funny, considering everything I just quoted above. It sounds as though you're using your opinion of what the world needs to make someone else look bad. But maybe it's just me!

I dont subscribe to the USA falling like the empires of Rome Greece or Egypt. Those were much different times.

The only difference I see is how we're doing it.

Other world powers would come in and conquer you when your empire fell. That doesnt happen in this day.

There's more than one way to skin a cat. Sounds like you're desperately trying to avoid reality.

We would just stop being the worlds number one super power, thats it. In this day of globalization it just may be a revolving door between 4 or 5 super powers taking turns at the top.

Other nations have already proven that if they can do so with impunity, they are more than willing to step use their neighbors as very dead footstools by which to seize the crown of the world. What better glory is there for a nation, than to become the greatest empire known to man?

Especially when it guarantees prosperity and survival. We've allowed the weeds of man vs man to grow for far too long, and now the rampant garden is choking the life out of us. We are no longer brothers and sisters - should the day arrive when everything comes crumbling down, we will all be rivals, addicted to the lush lives we used to live and willing to do anything to revive that dream. In a world where only this life matters...well, do I really need to explain?

"Book of Eli" comes to mind.

Death to humanity sounds good. I am ashamed to be a human, and i am ashamed that a Human is a living organism. The Human race is more of a plague to the earth..... let the human race be destroyed.....

Or be recreated as a new better one.

Maybe I'm just sleep deprived, but saying we're doomed if "2012" doesn't happen is a little ironic when you really think about it. I get what you're saying, but that's like me waiting around for the sandman to grant me some sleep.

Living life, looking at it in face, never backing down,
stay righteous, hoping for a better world.
Working for a better world.

I rather be doomed than a coward.

i believe in a heaven, and i believe ill be going there when i die, and id rather be there any day than here, life here sucks and i feel like theres really not much purpose for me being here. so yeah i hope and wish we all died in less than 4 weeks, would make me happy. call me selfish and "cowardly" sure, but if were all dead what does it matter what you call me? just make your hearts right and focus on what really matters, and its NOT HERE! whats this life have to offer? its full of hateful evil people, deep down were all evil self absorbed, im not afraid to admit it, give me all your babble and nonsense, and ill tell you your lying to yourself. # this world im ready to go home, i wish it was sooner than dec 21st, seems too long to wait. and yeah i know we will all still be here the 22nd but whatever. i feel you OP

So much for the Christian love thy neighbor philosophy. If everyone in the world thought like that it would be an even more s***y place to live in than it is now. Do you really think your God would want people who dont love and contribute to his creation the Earth in his heaven?

In the past I wanted destruction too, but then I realized I want the FCKING PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET TO FCKING SNAP OUT OF IT AND THE DAILY SH*T AND REALIZE THEMSELVES, WHO ARE THEY, WHY ARE THEY HERE, WHAT IN THE FUTURE OF THIS PLANET SHOULD THEY DO

Which could happen with not global apocalypse but 3 day darkness, some change in the Earth - without having to kill many people or any people.

But people will continue to be ignorant twats, not care of anything but their daily stuff

You see, I have a job, I have daily stuff on my mind as well, that doesnt mean one has to close themselves completely and only to the daily stuff, This is annoyingf to see

We could have saved ourselves as a species long ago. Desicions made by a few, have kept most in the dark. There are tons of suppresed devices out there. Oil interests have no wan't to actually create a cleaner world. They need to keep control for as long as possible. Inventors have been shot at on the street for coming up with alternative energy devices. There is free energy all around us (Nikola Tesla). Why do we pay for it?

Suppressed knowledge too. If Freud hadn't wanted to keep the reality of telepathy away from the public, the world might be a very different place right now.

If we keep following our current course... or if we do not make a DRASTIC change in the fundamental factors that mandate our society, humanity will crumble. We have created a way of living that is completely unsustainable.

So, back to Dec 21 2012. If nothing happens? I will be disappointed.

You see the stunning hypocrisy in that above statement?

You are first making a big statement that "we all" need to make (emphasis: MAKE) drastic changes, and here I certainly agree with you.

And in the next sentence you contradict all this because you would like to sit back and wait for some "magic event" happening on some illusionary date - without any further doing required...

Let's put it that way:

If I knew some "hippie" person who says that he is so fed up with this and that, and he decided to make an active change in his very OWN life, be it my moving to hippie-commune somewhere living from the vegetables they plant, or moving to a tropical abandoned island, or deciding to become a zen buddhist in Nepal or whatever...I would actually have MORE respect for such a person (regardless how silly whatever he does might appear) - as opposed to those people who keep hoping for some external event . The hippie dude at least MADE a change in his life.
