Goldfish in the Arctic? Relation to Norwegian Sky Spiral?

A friend who is a arctic diver sent me this photo.
i am puzzeld to see he encountered a huge goldfish in the arctic northsea, off the coast of svalbard.
He said the fish was not aggressive. He has seen lots of goldfish in these ocean parts since the norwegian
sky spiral event, it seems there must be a connection of some sorts?
Maybe radiation has something to do with it?
What are your thoughts? i have sent this to my local newspaper and hopefully they will publish a article with it.

Did you have to crop the spiral picture out to get a true reverse image search result?

It's too cold for a gold fish to live in that water(, the diver is in a dry suit to stay warm..)...plus it's salt water.....the goldfish in the first pic is bright colored. Colors lose color as you dive..It's been photoshopped......I think your friend pulled a fast one on you. Nice freind....

I don't think the cold would kill a goldfish... aka carp. They can live in any temperature of water. It is the salt water that would kill them. Also, the fact at just how small and bright it is. Easy prey for bigger fish.

Now how did you find that image Phage? I can't see anyone knowing the location of the original unaltered image. And I thought I had too much time on my hands.

that's not even a good photoshop job, it could use some blur around the edges... lol

The Norway spiral picture was placed there to give a false positive.

The reverse image software scans the image and recognized the spiral and ignored the rest.

Someone tried to be clever.

But failed.

Hard.

TinEye found me a match for the (unshopped) image. Even without cropping out the spiral.

Useful little plugin.

You can check out the auto-search result on TinEye here and by clicking on the "compare" feature and then using "switch" you can see it's the exactly same image -- minus the fish!

Unreal, this isn't funny or entertaining. What a stupid waste of time for everyone involved. I mean, I'd get it if there was a little more time and effort put into the joke thread, but this is....this is just....awful. IN EVERY WAY.

How do you do that? Go about finding the original image in a case like this?


And yeah, that is one of the most obviously shopped pics I've seen in a while. OP, if you actually bought that pic, and you're not trolling, I would suggest getting an eye exam, and/or a tuneup for your BS-detector.
