I know, but even the modern US made ones do not compare to vintage.
I've never been a fan of Ben Sherman at all though, no matter where there stuff is made
Ben Shermans were originally a copy of Brooks Brothers button down shirts, when Mod was the rage and they wanted top quality button down shirts. They
looked like BB and were cheaper, but were still far better quality than what else was available at the time.
But that is not the point. The point is companies often start out making quality products, and once that product becomes popular, and people
recognize the name, they often then shift to outsourcing. People buy the now lesser quality product simply on it's name, for the same price. Most
people do not know what quality is, especially when it comes to clothes.
Just like any other product they don't want it to last too long. They simply want you to buy shirts more often.
