2013 is going to start off with bang as this winter solstice brings violent planetary changes coinciding with the celestial transition known as the procession.

Once the earthquakes are over and the tsunami flood waters have receded, mankind will find themselves confused, cold and in the dark as the power grid will be down, no doubt down for good in most parts.

Immediately there will be a military presence throughout the world. They will be rounding up survivors and carting them off to a "safe" camp where they can get food and shelter.
There will be massive amounts of burning bodies and rotting trash everywhere in our once world.

Make no mistake that once you have been taken into a camp, you will never get your life back or be free again.
You will die in this camp, working for the cause and collapsing in the mud, face first.
There will mass amounts of violence, rape and even cannibalism in these camps.
There will be no real protection except for military quads moving in on a fight and eliminating everyone involved.
No courts, no trials, no country. Just confusion, panic and then death.

So, how does one survive the up-coming apocalypse?

We'll first of all, have an underground or hidden compound/bunker that is stocked with 3 years of non-perishable food.
Have several rifles and pistols and years and years of ammo stocked up.
Have at least three fertile women on hand to help with the reconstruction and regrowth (once the military have left and declared the land you are hiding on as "empty").
You should also learn how to build a fire with a stick and also with flint.
There are many more things that you will need to have and learn, for more details just google it.

These will be challenging yet wonderful times ahead for the right adventure-minded individuals.

I also recommend that we stock up on car batteries and everyone should buy a ham radio off of ebay. This will be the wave of "the future" in communication.

Earthquakes happen, so it would be impossible to deny any prophetic claim that there is going to be one in the year of 2013...

so far, so good

Due to the frequency of earthquakes, there are small tsunamis every year, often going unrecognized as they have little to no impact on shores around the world. The frequency of large tsunamis, such as the one that struck Japan is roughly 1/500 years, which can be debated, but IMO this is accurate. Not that the history of these events have necessarily been recorded accurately, but based on writings dating back through antiquity IMO this is an accurate number.

So, the likelihood of this happening... not so great. Not removing the possibility, BUT... I wouldn't bet on it.

So far, shaky ground(pun intended)

The electrical grid going down...

Please tell me, how is a tsunami going to wipe out the power grid in say.... the Midwest of the United states, or how about... the middle of Russia.(you get my point, I hope)
I highly doubt that electrical grids around the world would be impacted by a single tsunami. Actually, I can say for sure, that this would never be the case.

So far, liquefaction is swallowing up this theory.(not so punny)

The prospects, again, of a tsunami damaging the entire world... a little ignorant. So a military presence around the world as a result of any tsunami is just as unlikely.

I will just end here... you catch my drift.(terrible attempt at a pun)

It sounds like a good sequel to the 2012 movie.

I know zero people with an underground bunker, and I live in NH!
Guns we have plenty of here, we could actually take on the entire middle east, which is why I don't understand why we're over there. Let them come on over, I think the armed civilian population can handle it.

An EMP ruins your plans for functioning battery storage and electronics.

Realistically, if there is a major multi-location disaster(s), your best bet is to find a mountain or cave.

I think you may have some points here and I have some very ....unsettled... feelings about the month to come. Not so well defined I can articulate it to talk about but it's there and as real as anything. Something is wrong with this picture and the public seems to be the only ones not in on the joke. If it comes by natural changes like you suggest, then stationary stockpiles won't be of much value will they? Staying mobile will be the only realistic option available. Likewise if there is a serious relocation effort, again, staying in a known location with stocks of stuff may not be the best approach? It wasn't that long ago and threads here at ATS talk about the Feds looking at customer records at bulk food and seed wholesalers around the nation. I'm betting Uncle knows where a good many of those stockpiles are....with their obsession on recording and mapping everything imaginable.

IF things really do go real bad by war, disaster or a runaway planet popping up like a bad sci-fi movie.....I think the key will lay in the mental ability to compartmentalize, stay open to whatever comes and think very quickly in changing situations where bad choices probably don't allow for second chances.

I also agree that if ALL has fallen apart and we're to the level of some places in Africa for chaos and a lack of basic order (The Congo comes to mind) then those popping up with "I'm with the Government and I'm here to help" are the ones to be nice and polite to ....while moving as far away from as physically possible. Camps would be bad things. Ask a dog how the shelter feels ...if they're among the few to ever leave it.

One day at a time; first priority protecting my love, not unlike now...with a tasty beverage and a full pipe. It will stay packed by any means necessary. My needs will be met whether or not we're all wet. I will swing smart with force to rip the fences up and out of their positions where the standard of new world bravery will be set. As the only worthy male my wife will be forced for the greater good of humanity to share me with the remaining breedable people. We will start our civilixation in the bliss of an all encompassing orgy, by showing no discrimination, everyone gets a piece. There will be many and I will be one and we will be all.

What people always seem to forget is that most military members have families too. The government could never pull together something like this, because the soldiers are not going to do what people think they will do. Granted, we have seen this in other countries, but most of the time the people who are being killed are separated from the other group via some line, usually geographical or racial. So unless there is a cause that can be utilized to divide America, most soldiers aren't going to go around harming civilians considering that they would know some other soldiers would be doing the same to their families. That was all I wanted to comment on...carry on.

Thanks. However, that's why our troops will be there and their troops will be here.

lots of very probable events may happen

1) Solar flare, like in the 19th century will fry all our electronics, the collapse will come automatically (very, very likely)

2) Asteroid (obvious and very likely)...

3) earthquakes which take out a good portion of the U,S and the nuclear plants (California) as well..resulting in the total collapse of Western civilization (very likely)

4) food prices and crop failure, social unrest, racial wars, civil wars, etc (this is where the world is heading anyway)

5) some sort of biological catastrophe (very likely)

6) world war III (likely)

All of these are very probably..we don't live in the 12 century anymore..we are all bunched up, overpopulated and are controlled by technology..A solar flare or major earthquake will be the end for us..image what a solar flare will do..it will take out nuclear reactors, airplanes, traffic, refrigeration, security, Internet, banks, all electronic records, biological containment will fail, viruses will be released, prison gates will malfunction..etc etc

Yes the solar flares alone could bring this modern world to a grinding halt.
If the majority of the transformers blow due to a solar flare it could be years before the power is restored.
And forget about the nuclear power plants, they will all go into melt-down without a power supply cooling them off.

Lots of things could happen overnight that can change this world forever.

Overpopulated and controlled by technology? Did anybody force you to use a computer? Overpopulation is a myth. Compared to what, where?

man ,I'm so fed up of that apocalyptic fearmongering. Fear porn and end of the world scenarios. You can decide to live a different life and see things differently. All this fear, fear everywhere. The discourse is all about what MIGHT happen instead of working on what can be done about the present. It's pure paralysis, social paralysis. If every hour people spent on this site was spent doing volunteer work, the world would be a better place.

I think you mean, "precession", and no, you've completly bolloxed up that as well.
And as for the rest of the sentence.... its so far off reality that its not even wrong.

Precisely.

I think you know what I mean when I say you better go to Wal-mart now as opposed to later for all your post-apocalypse survival goods.
