I wonder how these videos end up in live leaks hands. I am not sure if I can't directly from a FSA, perhaps someone from someone in the wes

According to the LiveLeak description it was submittted by a member of the group who did not like the course of action they were taking. How it was submitted is not exactly explained. You raise a good point that I have never thought of...how does someone submit a video to LiveLeak?

I'm guessing there is an option to do so somewhere on their page but I am too tired to try and figure it out at the moment.

I believe anyone can upload anything as long as it does not break some conditions,

What are the general rules for uploading on LiveLeak?
We try to keep LiveLeak.com as "free" as possible but there are certain criteria an upload must me. We will reject and / or delete media which breaks the following rules.
1) Media which we deem to be the glorification of graphic violence or graphic content such as graphic compilations or graphic media with insufficient information.
2) Media which is deemed to be illegal in the United States of America including, but not limited to child pornography or bestiality. In these cases the media will be removed, your account will be banned, and any information we have will be passed on to the relevant authorities.
3) Uploads showing the poster involved in criminal activity.
4) Spam or advertising media. LiveLeak.com is supported by advertising so if you wish to advertise please contact us.
5) Soft- and Hardcore pornography. We do not host softcore or hardcore pornography of any kind.
6) Videos or images depicting nudity for the purposes of / created for titillation or sexual gratification are not acceptable. This is due to several issues not least of which being age verification and copyright related. Nudity in non-pornographic uploads (not covered by the above criteria) is still acceptable i.e. News related footage which might feature nudity for any reason.
7) Media created to attack another member. This includes any media containing the personal information of another member of the site.
8) Music. Unless you are the copyright holder we will reject any music videos including concert footage.
9) Reposts of breaking items. If the site is being flooded with the same video we will reject reposts as we come across them.

Please remember that LiveLeak.com is a privately owned website and we reserve the right to remove media without warning or notice.

It does make the traceability of these videos difficult. Condition 3 would be broken if this video was actually submitted by a FSA member blowing up a mosque...

Makes you wonder if this actually took place in Syria..we really relying on the description provided with the video

I know nothing is for certain at this point, but in your opinion, do you believe this took place in Syria?

The location has not officially been confirmed but with all the evidence put forth so far I believe that it most likely is what the LiveLeak site mentioned, and is also related to the possible false reports by CNN and Al-Jazeera, as I said this is not confirmed but my opinion based on the evidence presented so far.

I could certainly be wrong though...

I believe it is in Syria and this is an obvious attempt to damage Assads image.

I could be wrong, but it seems to fit.

Though, as to the true motivation behind it, I am unable to say. Though I believe there is more behind the scenes, as I subscribe to the belief that blowing up a mosque would be something not resorted too....normally.

I also believe there is a lot more behind the scenes related to this incident. This does seem to be a rather extreme act by destroying a mosque, but when you are dealing with extremists nothing should surprise us.

This incident is very confusing because the posibilities of who was behind it are plentiful regardless of one's outlook and opinion on the situation. The region is active with many players so anything is possible, the whole ME situation is a rather large conspiracy at the moment, and has been for quite a long while.

Bang on.

There are so many groups in play both directly and directly, I would need both hands to count how my interested parties could have been involved.

I cannot find the Aljazeera report that is talked about in the LiveLeaks description. I did however find a lot of videos from Aleppo. That place is just like Call of Duty.

I do believe the LiveLeak uploader is not the camera man in the footage or that he knows them. He or she is just a person uploading videos they found on the internet to LiveLeak.

Can anyone even find the Al Jazeera footage in question? I've searched the website and haven't found anything.

Found this, which is definitely not the same building:

I've been looking myself for that video and am coming up empty handed. I've searched both of Aljazeera's YT channels and nothing, same for a YT & Google search. Nada. I did find many videos of combat and air strikes from the area. I posted a couple above.

It could be a video from anywhere in the Middle East but so far everything associated with this video says Syria, even though it is easy to be BSing it's visitors. There's many videos from Aleppo on YouTube for all of us who haven't been to Syria, and don't plan on ever going

I googled "mosque syria", "minaret syria" and then tried just mosque and minaret thinking it might be another country. A'zaz is the closest one I could come up with. What we need is some boots in the ground and see if there's still a mosque there or not

SyrianGirl could tell us, too bad she doesn't post much since her first account was banned back in 07, or something like that. Unless she graces us with her presence we're just gonna have to keep our fingers crossed for another avenue.
