I happen to work for an organization that directs food to the shelters in my city. The homeless in my city eat more organic food than many people who do have homes in other states. A lot of groceries stores in my city, especially natural and organic ones donate expired, and fresh groceries and produce on a weekly basis to the shelters.

I'm not cold, you're just ignorant.
