Observations: The anomaly in the photo to me at first made me think of a reflection like what one gets when one snaps a shot into the sun, except the "burst" of sunlight is missing. In light of that-- no pun intended--it even more resembles what you would see if you snapped a shot, for example, indoors, and light was streaming through a nearby window, and the shot was picking up the light. Of course, this photo was snapped outside with no walls or windows to create that effect!!! The anomaly appearing so window-like piqued my interest and made me think while it could be a discarded bit of cellophane, it could also be a portal to another dimension, perhaps? (This conclusion being drawn based on my personal experiences at the shrine in Conyers, GA, of which the pink tint was also of significance.)

Don't know why your 'friend' is recycling a story from 2009, but It looks very much like a lens flare. You can see the sun peeking out at the top of the photo.

Pentagonal shape actually.

Hexagon has 6 sides.

I believe the shape is determined by the type of shutter on the camera.

I believe you are not listening to what the original post'er's statement. First off it was never discussed on here before. I was discussed on ghostpro in 2009 and never posted anywhere since then.

The person recently posted the photo on franklinfiles.net as a discussion topic and it has never been stated that it is a recent photo. Not sure "who" the thread starter is and if permission was granted by the photo owner to have been placed on this website.

So, time to get off your head and quit complaining/bullying.

Good Evening,
I am the photographer of this picture. I was outside when it was taken and it was not a sunny day. I never really thought too much about it and I was not the person who shared it on Ghostpros or whatever. That was done by someone else. I never claimed it was an anomoly nor did corsair. The photo was posted by me this week on www.franklinfiles.net and it was just random so corsair was being matter of fact in stating that. I have several shots taken that day most are just random and this is the only photo that had any sort of "flare"
