From "The Guardian": Ahmadinejads allies charged with sorcery

Close allies of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being "magicians" and invoking djinns (spirits).

Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as "a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds".

The arrests come amid a growing rift between Ahmadinejad and Khamenei which has prompted several MPs to call for the president to be impeached.

I came across this news while doing other searches on Iran and thought it would be interesting for ATS.

Read more at the link above. "Djinn" are the islamic equivalent of demons. So is this just some of the crazy mudslinging of a theocratic dictatorship or is the Ahmadinejad Government really involved in magic or what they believe to be magic?

Hard to say, but I wouldn't be surprised if indeed that was the case. There are ways of 'summoning' thought-forms.

Sounds like an Islamic witch hunt!

Considering that Iran calls the western world, "The great Satan," I guess they have that going on in their own country..........LOL

Wiki

Khomeini is quoted as saying on November 5, 1979, "[America is] the great Satan, the wounded snake."[2] The term was used extensively during and after the Islamic Revolution,[3] but it continues to be in used in some Iranian political circles. Use of the term at rallies is often accompanied by shouts of "Marg bar Amrika!" ("Death to America" is an inexact translation of "Marg Bar Amrika", but is supposed to mean "Down with America").[4] The term has also found in political statements of Muslim and anti-American activists throughout the world. It is used in academic journals and media.[5]

I might be wrong about this, but I don't think jinn are equivalent with demons. I was under the impression they could be positive or negative.

Fascinating story, though. Great find. I'm going to look some stuff up then expand this post.

ETA: Yeah, from Jinn wiki

Like human beings, the jinn can also be good, evil, or neutrally benevolent

Also, from Al-Jinn wiki

Sūrat al-Jinn (Arabic: سورة الجن‎) (The Jinn) is the 72nd sura of the Quran with 28 ayat. The name as well as the topic of this chapter is jinn. Similar to angels, the Jinn are considered to be spiritual beings invisible to the naked human eye. The habitat of angels is considered to be the sky, whereas it is the earth for Jinn. In the Quran, it is stated that humans are created from the earth and jinn from fire in more than one instance and it is also evident from the hadith that the angels were created from light.

In the second ayat the jinn recant their belief in false gods and venerate Muhammad for his monotheism. The jinn apologize for their past blasphemy and criticize mankind for either neglecting them or encouraging their disbelief. Ayats 20-22 are especially important as tawhid among the Jinn is reaffirmed and the inescapable wrath of God is emphasized. The Judgement in ayat 7, and the Punishment in ayat 25, are both references to the Islamic Judgement Day, Yaum al Qiyamah. Ayat 25-28 establish that Qiyamah is known only to God, and that God takes into account all the deeds of a man when judging him.

I think one of the most overlooked aspects of the conspiracy world is the elite's use of this type of mysticism. We know about the Vrill society, and gnostic freemasonry. But this stuff is really the tip of the ice berg.

I often speculate that the majority of elite activity is related to the spirit realm. Primary motivations may be more about apocalypse, rapture, messiah, and mystical energy than money and material wealth.

It's not surprising. Besides aren't they all working together anyway..? illuminati, freemasons.. etc etc.. the people at the top of the pyramid, regardless of country all have good reason to bandy together.. world domination and control.. gained by alchemy and energy manipulation.. nothing new in my opinion..

Sounds like a religious leader is taking advantage of the superstitious nature of the people there to fight a political battle.

Political infighting IMO.

Jins are not daemons.

There are Jins who are believers and help believers, too.

+ It is really old news.

I understand what you are saying. Its the Khamenei-faction that uses Djinn in the negative sense.

They are after that and they failed to use it in 33 days of war with Hezbullah.

They are the main hands of the porno industry and they are the ones behind freemasonry.

Their symbolism is everywhere and they are not after candies and chocolates.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Those jins work only on disbelievers.

No , propaganda by the MSM machine.

They induce and repeat their lies to make it like truth.

This is what exactly daemons do.

They lie and insist to get you at an appropriate situation.

truthermantwo tell him.

I believe he is referring to jinn. It's true with me they played good cop bad cop sounding like military or government chasing me around until i did something to get arrested or kill myself. Im fine now, they are so quiet i only hear them outside mostly, they did go away recently but came back. I too believe that they can be summned on someone as my voices started when i was being gangstalked.

No you don't. You call it psychosis and schizophrenia is only one form of psychosis. Delusions and unusual belief systems aren't specific to schizophrenics.

That's exactly what it is.

It all started after Ahmadinejad tried to fire a member of his cabinet that was appointed by Khamenei. Ahmadinejad fired him, Khamenei reinstated him and Ahmadinejad went into hiding to pout for 10 days without bothering to show up for meetings. He almost got himself removed. The battle between Khamenei and Ahmadinejad has been on ever since. Khamenei has even threatened to take away the seat of the Presidency altogether. Let's see if there's even going to be another Presidential election come June.

It reminded me of the European kings during the middle age that would blame their political rivals of being heretics or witches, then have them beheaded.

I see.

Well, I guess there's a whole new round of folks to discuss it with today.

I was kind of hoping to get someone from inside Iran to comment though. Id like to know how seriously these things are taken.
