Possible FEMA trailers being railroaded? (Seen in Albemarle, NC)

I was driving to the post office this morning, and was stopped at the only railroad crossing in our town by a freight train. I've lived here about 10 years now, and have NEVER seen a train pass thru town. What was odder, was it was a train completely made up of flatbed cars, each carrying a mobile home type trailer. The reason I say FEMA trailer is because of the stories you see on here and else where about alleged FEMA camps. Is this what these were heading for? Not a clue, but has anyone else seen trains loaded like this? This was going East out of Albemarle NC

Were they possibly heading North? Maybe to the areas that Sandy hit?

thats what i would think, maybe the rail heads east then swings north maybe?

Oh, sorry. Didnt see the "heading east part" but yea what you say is possible. Rail Roads tend to follow the terrain and can zig zag and turn etc..

If the trailers smelled like formaldehyde, they were FEMA trailers.

Looking at the map there's a rail line that dead heads over at the Badin Alcoa works. It also appears that rail road runs north south through Albemarle.

Your town looks similar to one side/end of my town, which is also in NC. I've been here for 12 (almost 13) yrs now, but our tracks don't run through the streets, they run parallel(sp)

I live in wisconsin and near my work place runs tracks,.
Every day and i see the train go by about 7:30 am every day I count about
12 to 25 military assorted vehicles on the train.. all brand new..

We're doomed.

I'll be they were full of Guillotines too.

oh dear - i am 4000 miles away - but basic research skills assure me that these are unlikley to be fema trailors as :

a different train - in another location - but the format of NS dorm cars is identical

so no doom porn - no FEMA guiiltines - just regular railorad activity .

did you read the second link ? - its pretty obvious ,

25 trailers are heading to Newmilford Connecticut , to house 25 families that lost there homes in Statin Island till there homes are rebuilt.
